For the hemoglobin blob, there are several Slipknot songs that feature people wrapped up in some covering (ex Devil in I), I think it's meant to be symbolic of the fans being part of the song. Slipknot refers to their fans as 'maggots', so it kinda looks like a worm or maggot.

Lol @ you cant beat your band mates with sticks... these cats are all older men now with grown kids... when they were younger & they first came out they would dose each other in gasoline & light each other on fire live on stage during a show. The DJ would also climb 30' lighting towers & dive into the audience. Fire marshalls & a girls broken neck with lawsuits stopped all that. DJ Starscream also said he has several times broken both ankles & knees from stage diving.
