Excellent song by the Allman Brothers. When it came out in the 70's (and still today) I envision either a guy on a horse or on a Harley. Either way, it's haunting. The SILVER DOLLAR was minted in 1794. Still in use, but MANY are collectible.

My boys from Macon Georgia, I live just a few miles from their home called The Big House which is now a museum! Back in the 1980s when I lived in Atlanta I had a black "Bandit" Trans Am that I called the Midnight Rider {it was kind of a theme song} since I spent most of the weekends cruising the streets & going from strip club to strip club! The drummer Jamoe {black dude} is the only surviving member ✌💖☮

Now, dollars are paper, but there used to be dollar coins. Lots of silver dollars from the 1890's or the 1920's. It was very common. There were half dollar coins, too. And gold coins worth much more than a dollar. There was even a thing called the half-dime. Money used to be so interesting.

Someday, you'll need to see the documentary Muscle Shoals, which is about the recording studio in Alabama where a ton of the best music of the 20th C was made. The Allman Brothers found their footing there, even though the boss didn't see it. Other people who made amazing music there include Aretha Franklin and Percy Sledge. It's a must watch that will change the way you think about American music.

There was a time when music mirrored human emotions: joy, happiness, pain, heartache, passion, love, etc... It doesn't seem to be that way anymore. So, I wonder - did we have those emotions because of the music, or was the music the way it was because we were emotional beings? You hear a lot about people's feelings now, but there seems to be a definite lack of emotion. 😪

If you want to find out how tight they were, you MUST react to Freebird live and watch some tight guitar solos, and all over greatness! When you said from the get go that you just had the urge to Turn it Up,that was the correct response, and they even day that in their studio version of Freebird, lol! One of my favorite cruising in the car on a sunny day songs is Blue Sky! I'm pretty sure BOTH songs will make your playlist! PEACE OUT!🎛🎹🥁🎸🎸🎸🎶🤘🤘🤘

A silver dollar is a coin made of silver or a white metal with a face value of one dollar. The U.S. minted silver dollar coins between 1794 and 1935. However, silver dollars are worth more than their face value due to the value of their silver content. The price of a silver coin depends on its silver content and the price of silver, which is affected by demand and economic confidence.
