This is one of the great girl groups from the 50's. Their 2 biggest hits were "Lollipop" & "Mr. Sandman". But they had other good songs such as "Never On A Sunday", "Eddie My Love", "Born To Be With You", "Lay Down Your Arms", "Just Between You & Me" etc.

You commented that it sounded like a commercial. However, those of us who are old enough realize the truth: Commercial jingles sound like them. THEY came first.

First time I ever heard this song was in Back to the Future. Marty travels back to the late 50s and this song is playing when he's trying to reconcile what he's seeing with what he can believe- a true dream-like state. Always stuck with me.

PS the guy mouthing yes was Dick Clark. Palliachi was a character in an opera but forget which one. I am old and sometimes my filing cabinet gets disorganized, lol.

This is music. I love the old time stuff. Pure talent, no auto-tune. It just hits the soul.

Love the girl groups from this era. Such perky songs. Another great group is the McGuire Sisters.

Check out The McGuire Sisters "May You Always". I was raised on the music of the 40s, 50s and 60s as a kid and there are so many interesting songs. Also, Connie Francis "Where the Boys Are".

I hardly know any songs from that period. This one is my favorite from those years. wonderful. I learned a lot of songs from video games. As far as I remember, one of the Fallout games had this song.

Pretty sure it's been a jingle more than once. I also seem to recall a remake back in the 70s.

While not the version by The Chordettes, but the one by The Four Acres, Sandman is used in the original Back To the Future movie.

You should react to Jay and the Americans-Come A Little Closer. An excellent old-school song, from this decade period(50’s-70’s)but also very prevalent in guardians of the galaxy.

If you didn’t figure out what Pagliacci is, or why they mention him(it’s a little weird), it’s an Italian opera from 1892. About an traveling acting troupe that performs the story of Pagliacci. Thing is, it involves(if I understand it correctly) a love triangle, within a love triangle, that begets betrayal, sorrow, and eventually, murder. I’ve never actually seen it, or heard it(?). Besides the character being mentioned here, I also know it from Tears Of A Clown by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles(and later the cover by The English Beat). Even though it looks like they were around for about 12 years, I think the only other song I know is called Lollipop.

Pagliacci is also the subject of a *very* famous joke. A man who is severely depressed goes in to see the doctor and, after hearing the man's tale of woe, says "I have just the thing for you. Tonight, here in town, the famous clown Pagliacci is performing. I suggest you go see him. It will cheer you right up." The man then looks at the doctor with tears in his eyes and says "But doctor, I *am* Pagliacci."

Glad to see your doing well after the whole tornado fiasco! This is a good song from all the way back in the 50s. Another good song from way back thats just fun to sing along with and has a funny video is "splish splash". Many young people think their serious parents were always that serious but im sure many didnt realise they had bathroom humor all the way back in the 50s lol.

@@GeraldWalls I played it after the NPC update. The main campaign does feel pretty lonely if you are playing alone, since all the stories were narrated through texts and recordings. Kinda like the Lonesome Road DLC. I didn’t t complete the last few missions in the campaign cause it’s too tedious for single player. Though it’s pretty cool to come across random players.

@@Tony-rh2lp Gotta say I loved all of the F:NV DLCs. I found nothing wrong about that game. All of the companions had their endearing qualities. I'm glad I was able get Veronica her dress.
