No, you're wrong. Some Cure fans hate this epic nonsense since "Disintrigation" or this new boring "Alone". Where did the punk and new wave influence go?

Definitely typical Cure. It's absolutely them and I love it so much. I was overcome with emotion when I heard the studio version for the first time last week, even though we've been hearing it live for the past 2.5 years while they were touring. I had a little cry :)

Best reaction so far on this song! I’d highly recommend listening to their early 80’s work (A Forest, Charlotte Sometimes, One Hundred Years, Just One Kiss etc.)

It's based off of the poem Dregs. THE COVER ART FEATURES 'BAGATELLE', A 1975 SCULPTURE BY JANEZ PIRNAT.

Check out the Songs of the Lost World tour! Epic! I got to see them live in May 2023! The tour was epic and satisfying! I didn’t want the show to end.

This is the opening song of their upcoming album 'Songs of a Lost World.' For me, this song is reminiscent of 'Plainsong' the opening track from 'Disintegration' with a long, wall of sound instrumental build before the vocals come in. It also reminds me of 'Push' in terms of the first half of the song being instrumental and the second half being that same instrumental with vocals on top.

Listen to the Disintegration album, the song Shake dog Shake, Cold, The Kiss, All cats are grey, from the edge of the deep green sea ... That's more what the Cure are about.

Youre in for a treat if you like their music as from 1978-1992 they barely put a foot wrong music-wise. A fantastic run of albums, for me they are one of Britain's greatest bands. The lyrics are very relevant, and as a result of Robert Smith losing a number of close family members in the last couple of years. Lyrically I think this is amazing.

Is it typical of The Cure? Are Friday I’m in Love or Boys Don’t Cry typical of The Cure? I’d say both things can be true. The Cure are known for dark songs with long introductions. If you want to do a video about a darker Cure song try One Hundred Years, Faith, Plainsong, etc. But The Cure also have an ability to make very catchy pop hooks. Beyond the songs you mentioned you could look at The Lovecats, The Caterpillar, Lullaby. I think you should do a couple of videos to explore The Cure’s back catalogue- how about choosing One Hundred Years and The Lovecats? You couldn’t get two more different songs and they were recorded with about one year between them. Both fit into the very varied world of The Cure

Yes, the sound is tipycal, for example in disintegration, pornography and faith album. Is very brilliant. The Cure are back. ❤

Compared to Disintigration's widescreen, you're right, but it was a bit poppier. Pornography and Faith, however, are the finest darkwave/coldwave and completely different from the viscous pulp of today. The new album is the first Cure album since 1980 that I won't buy. They were my absolute favorite band until Head on the Door. Then it went downhill bit by bit. The Cure is also visually no longer bearable when Robert looks like his own grandma. They should have stopped long ago.
