The first part is the Main Title of the movie "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". The second part is from the climax of the movie, titled "L'estasi dell'oro" (the ecstasy of gold). Composed by Ennio Morricone. Thing is, the spaghetti westerns were cheap, and Morricone didn't had a high budget to work with and hire many musicians, so the instrumentation was simple with whatever he was able to get. Singers (who could also whistle well), a single flute, and an electric guitar were easy to get, also a small string quartet, and maybe one or two brass instruments. When they arranged for this orchestra, they expanded greatly on the sections that Morricone didn't had: a full set of strings, full brass sections etc. And having 80 people playing together makes it incredibly richer (it's also something that you cannot imitate with electronic synths, because humans are complex beings, and them playing together is a chaotic system with each human trying to control a chaos, and this complexity cannot be simulated. Not right now, and maybe never). If you are interested in film music, look out for Jerry Goldsmith. He was one of the best composers of film music who ever lived. This orchestra here performed the end titles from the movie Gremlins 2 that Goldsmith composed, and it's one of my favorites (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aarbqYaLZdOqbJY )

This here is another great performance by the Danish National Orchestra. It's from the original "Planet of the Apes" from 1968, again composed by Jerry Goldsmith, and they really need to work HARD to get this performed. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnLIg2mbbr-hjc0

This video is from one of this orchestra's live performances. The music played here is actually two pieces from the movie, the first being is the Opening score, the second piece is called the ecstasy of gold sequence where Tuco finds the cemetery where the gold is hidden. What also makes this an iconic video is that the Orchestra is Danish, playing music composed by an Italian, and conducted by an Japanese-American. Truly an international flavor here as well. Oh and as usual I am tearing up listening to this, this performance seems to truly touch me deep in my soul and triggers an emotional response. I would love to see you react to Queen Bohemian Rhapsody. It is an amazing video itself done back when there was no such thing as auto tune. You will truly appreciate who Freddie Mercury was. Just to give you a little bit of info on the song itself, it is 3 songs that Freddie could not write the finishes for so he decided to combine them and create bridges throughout the song. The full version is rather long but so much worth it. I look forward to seeing your reaction to it.

You dont know the movie - the "guy hanging out" in a hangmans noose is from the main character Clint Eastwood played in the movie, if you know you know, but not having seen the movie leaves you clueless. This is one of the most unique and memorable movie scores to ever be written and performed and this is a first class and beautifully executed performance of it. Anyone from the era of the movie knows immediately what this is.

@SAnnun-hs1io3 ай бұрын
I'm sorry but I don't know where you get the idea that she's "backing up" the harmonica, if anything it's the other way around. Tuva's voice is clearly the primary musical element at that point in the piece. You can barely hear the harmonica and it only adds a subtle background resonance. I would describe the harmonica as more of an accompaniment with her voice, not as the main musical component.
