They were all siblings. "Five Stairsteps" meant they were so close in age that when they lined up by height it looked like they were standing on steps. Hope that makes sense.

I could have written this, yes and amen to it all. We all need to see how important these boys’ lives are. With the notion of BLM, once you get personal, and see their enthusiasm for literally 100 years of music, and see their love for helping others, it just means more, and puts a face to the movement. Also, how open they are to embracing all types of music. Their open-mindedness is inspiring and we all have a lot to learn from their lead. I will also admit that I’ve binge-watched them since Thursday!

This is my daddy's music, music I grew up on. Sunday mornings, dancing with him in the living room, waiting for breakfast. In the same era, you can't go wrong with anything by the Commodores, or Earth Wind and Fire. And the Four Tops and Temptations - they were already of by then, and still recording. Those groups will give you some roots. ANYTHING by them, anything at all, will be worth your time. Haven't gone through everything, yet, but you also need Otis Redding. Sadly murdered at 23, he was... Try a Little Tenderness, Otis Redding

You can hear this song brilliantly woven into Tupac's "Keep Ya Head Up." Love you guys and so grateful I discovered you the other day. Thank you for all you're doing to keep people lifted during these crazy times! ✌️ and ❤️ from British Columbia!

I've heard this for as long as it's been out and it still makes my heart swell. It's one of my all-time-faves PERIOD. It makes me sad when I hear it sometimes because it gives me that feeling of being homesick together with the realization there is no way to get back there......EXCELLENT TUNE...!!!

I discovered you guys not too long ago. Not many out there reacting to these old school hits. My suggestion is Rufus and Chaka Kahn. “Tell Me Something Good”

You could have seen the family Burke performing live on Soul Train... Mostly forgotten since the late 60's and early 70's, this Chicago based family band (Burke Family), in the spring of 1970, released its sole certified million-seller and biggest pop hit, "O-o-h Child" :-)

In 2001, my 16 year old son listened to this song over and over when he was being treated for lymphoma. I don't know where he first heard it, but it was the perfect song for him to find. He made it through but had a recurrence at 19 and had a stem-cell procedure. He just celebrated his 35th birthday - with his wife and three sons!

They used to play this song at the skating rink when I was young, it’s a great song!! I’d love to hear your reaction to Because the Night by The Patty Smith Group!! Your reactions are priceless and I think it’s wonderful that you are open to learning about so many types of music!!
