One of my other reaction channels that I watch just did this song and I knew that I knew it by the title but couldn't place it. The minute it started and I heard "The world is a vampire" I knew exactly what song this was. My bad because I'm from and still live in their hometown of Chicago. I really haven't kept up with the group or listened to them in years except for a few of their songs that I hear on the classic rock radio station I listen to, but they don't play this one.

I too for many years delt with bi-polor disorder and it spoke to me, the hi's and the lowes. Billy's voice can range from peircing screaming to soft and melodically beautiful. Billy writes so many great songs from hard rockers to gentle poetry. I would defiently try out next: Cherub Rock, Today, Zero, Disarm and Ava Adore. Some of my personal favorites are: Inkless, For Martha (piano ballad) and Porcelina Of The Vast Oceans.

Smashing Pumpkins is so diverse! Billy Corgan has a unique voice and goes along with their very melodic songs, which can be a bit mellow, but some other times very hard like this one. Zero, Cherub Rock, Today, Ava Adore, Stand Inside Your Love (my personal favorite)… all great songs that you can check out!

Imagine being 15 years old, reading magazine articles in anticipation of this album coming out- no internet to check, mind you- and then hearing this as the first single. It was exhilarating ❤

I keep coming back to this awesome reaction. "Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage", "I still believe that I cannot be saved". Absolutely ADORE this song. And "Tonight, Tonight" may be relatively mellow, but go back and listen to it now that your perspective of the band may have changed. It's a great song, and although the video can be distracting, it's so artistic and unique. Still waiting for "Our Lady Peace" reaction. Fingers crossed.

Smashing Pumpkins were such a crystallized 90s Alt-Rock vibe. I would put the intros, to BWBW, Cherub Rock and Zero up there with anything in the genre

This is one of Pumpkin's best songs. You absolutely need to check out the band Korn, specially "Freak On A Leash". The music video is one of the best videos of the 90's.

Kick ass song. "In spite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage" is a hell of a lyric. You guys would love the guitar groove in "Cherub Rock".

I lived in Seattle in the 90s when songs like this were dominant. Alternative rock splattered black paint over the bright trite colors of the 80s. I was so happy to see the hair bands go away. I hope I live to see another musical revolution like this again in my lifetime.
