We were so spoiled in the '70s! The embarrassment of riches. We had all these great male R&B vocal groups. Now, why they continue to ignore the Temptations is a mystery to me. BTW, the Spinners are being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year.

Maybe they're blocked from Temptation videos? Some artists/labels are more strict about their copy rights than others. I know of other reactors that got their KZbin channel shut down because of ONE artist's label that didn't want the reactor playing this artist's music on their channel and they always have pauses the songs they reacted to. We don't want Jay & Amber to be shut down over one artist.
@alanmusicman3385 Жыл бұрын
@@alamc200 They don;t have to use videos - in fact its better when they don't cos half the time they end up reacting to the video and not the music! 🙂 The pausing thing is an utterly pointless pre-condition and so 2000s - anyone savvy enough to rip the song from the audio stream of a review is going to know how to cut out the pause. The rule was obviously put in place by someone with zero understanding of tech.

@@michaelmartin1714 Right. I know it is a female because when this song came out I wondered who was singing because the Spinners did not have any female members. You have to know that I was a child of 13 years and I did not know that people outside of a group could sing with the group. Plus they fooled me by having one of the male members lip sync the female part on Soul Train. That really threw me for a loop. Just two kids at a BBQ and then Whitney became legendary in her own right. Dionne in her 70's is still beautiful and still has a great voice. The last time I visited her manager he had told me Dionne was in Vegas but, didn't say why and I thought it was odd because he always traveled with her on tour. Great Philly Soul from the Spinners. Thom Bell was the producer, who also produced the OJays, Stylistics, and probably a bunch of others. The Spinners started out with Motown but left for Philly. The Philly sound took the Motown sound and smoothed it out with lusher string and horn arrangements.

Can’t remember what I did yesterday but can sing every word from a song released 48 years ago. The power of music.

The Spinners made great music. Almost 50 years later and i still sing along and move to them.

One of my personal favorites. Mama got some horns. Papa got some keyboard.

What a fantastic song! Brings me right back to summers driving to the Jersey Shore for vacation with windows rolled down and the radio blasting! ❤
