The part where u noticed he wasn't playing but there was still music. It's called a looper pedal. If you go back to the beginning of the Billie Eilish song you can see him record and put that part on loop, so his hands would be free to play her vocal notes, etc.

It's a loop pedal... You start recording, then stamp and it repeats what you just played until you stamp again... So he does the background/bass track, loops it, then plays over it

He never shows his face. He used a Line6 Helix multi effects pedal which allows him to loop his guitar as well as trigger prepared backing tracks for songs he plans in advance. He then improvises the songs ever the looped guitar or backing tracks. He has been playing for like 15 years and is about 27. I know he studied audio engineering in college. He has been youtubing for about 10 years and also does gaming videos with a group called the Goons which include Dooo, SnipingSoup, McNasty and Blarg.

It’s called a loop peddle…likely a newer version of the BOSS loop because of the bit quality. The older ones would do a bit of muffling.

When he said “sony wouldn’t allow that” he meant Sony, the owners of omegle, wouldn’t give him any money for playing on their site. Edit: it’s a loop pedal, so if you watch the billie eilish one again, he’ll play the loop at the beginning, presses the pedal to put it on a loop, and he plays over that loop. It adds layers to his songs making them seem more put together. It is quite beautiful

Aight the big two answers to the questions are. He uses a Loop Pedal, recording something on the spot and then looping it as a background track. Then he plays over it. You can often see him tapping his foot on the ground before he starts playing the main dish. And the second. He has perfect Pitch, meaning he can instantly recognize the Note he hears and due to his experience instantly finds it on the fret and replays what he heard/improvises around it.

The sound you here is a loop he creates. Watch the cider again you'll see him play the "backround cords" that's his loop then he stops playing but you can still here it....that means the loop has been made and is going so he can lay down more cords on top of it basically doing the work if two guitars with one. I had to subscribe. This is the first video I've seen of yours because I cannot get enough of The Dooo. Your genuine love for music is awesome and your personality matches that of a great entertainer. The Dooo is literally a living legend when it comes to music. There's another guy on Omegle who does similar loops with his keyboard. Basically, he's recording a backing or rhythm track with chords and playing it back and then playing the song's 'melody' against the background loop (or loops) he just made. They keyboardist who does something similar will sometimes lay down drum beat loops, then add chords, then add horn section sounds and play piano or other instruments over it to fill out the sound. It's pretty awesome sounding when they do these loops and play along with them, but from what I've seen, it's not nearly as easy as they make it appear. It takes a LOT of practice.
