You have to remember that during that period, we had artists who would mix comedy with their music. There was Will Smith, Weird Al Yankovic, Tone Loc, the Beastie Boys, Twisted Sisters and many more. This was the pre-PC period where we didn't have the internet so no cancel culture. The 80's were just pure fun and craziness.
