I'm of an age when this song was played on MTV daily. About twelve years ago, I worked as an IT contractor at an Air Force base. They hired me, then I had to create network accounts for the next 300+ employees. One day, a young man entered my office asking for an account. I took his ID and looked down at the name..."Cole Medina" Speechless I looked up at him and he said, yeah, yeah, I know, my parents were fans of Tone loc. I did not know what to say, so I waited for him to leave then burst into laughter. I'd love to meet his parents. They must have an awesome sense of humor.

This is a fun song and a fun video. It was a huge hit back in 1989 and he also had a huge hit with "Wild Thing" that same year. Tone Loc went on to do some acting too in movies like Poetic Justice and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and other small film roles.

How on earth could this be as old as 1989? Who else feels older than dirt right now? I forget how young you fellas are sometimes.🙃 Great choice.

My mom lovedddd tone loc. She passed 12/04/2020 and I’m so so so grateful for the vast genres of music that she influenced in my childhood and beyond. Everyday I take about a hour out of my day with my 16 month old son and play whatever mood I’m in. Yesterday was Marvin Gaye and today was Kiss. Some days it’s Wu tang others it’s 90s boy bands. Music brings everyone together from all different cultures and backgrounds. I want my son to stay as opened minded to listen and enjoy every type of music. Y’all are amazing. My mom would’ve loved this video. ❤️
