When 2Pac said "Who shot me? But your punks didn't finish..." he was referencing the song Biggie dropped called "Who Shot Ya?" which was released after 2Pac was shot 5 times and robbed in the lobby of a recording studio where he was set to meet Biggie at. 2Pac claimed the song was a diss towards him, but Biggie denied, saying the song was recorded before the incident ever happened. If you didn't know Biggie and 2Pac were actually good friends at one point. Back when 2Pac was first getting big he used to let Biggie go up and rap during his shows. After "Who Shot Ya?" dropped while 2Pac was in prison, Biggie turned from a friend to an enemy. Also in "HIT EM UP" 2Pac and the Outlaws diss Biggie, Puffy, all of Bad Boy Records staff, and basically anyone associated with any of them.

The beef started after Tupac learned that Biggie set Tupac up to get shot and robbed. Then Biggie dropped the cut "Who shot ya?" So this was Tupac's response to all that. Tupac used look out for Biggie back in the day.

Fun Fact bro the people rapping with Yupac was his group The Outlawz, when Tupac died it is said that they rolled Tupac’s ashes in a blunt and smoked it with weed. This is what inspired the smoking *name* in rap nowadays that for example King Von says smoking Tooka which he says a lot. tooka’s gang initially came up with it as a way to commemorate their fallen homie like the Outlawz did but the opps of modern rappers flipped it and say it as a way of disrespect.

Biggie Made the song "Party and Bullshit" which brought him to fame. He went to the West Coast and met 2pac. 2pac liked him and his music and let him stay at his house. Later Biggie went back to New York and 2pac went to pay him a visit. When in New York, 2pac got shot and thought Biggie was responsible. While in recovery Biggie released "Who Shot Ya?" Which Biggie did not mean for it to be about 2pac, but 2pac took it that way. Then a whole west coast east coast War broke out. Later 2pac would be shot in Las Vegas and shortly after that Biggie would be killed too.

2pac used to be in a group called Digital Underground, out of NY. Thru them he came in to contact with Biggie and Puffy. Tupac was shot 5 times in the lobby of Bad Boy Records, Puffy's label. Pac always believed it was Biggie and Puffy that had it done. After that 2pac was convicted of a sexual assault and went to prison, while he was in there, Biggie released Who Shot Ya. After Pac got out, he was approached to join Death Row Records in LA. He released this track. His first two albums were not with Death Row. That's the gist, minus all the opinions, conspiracy theories, and false reports. Fun fact: this song samples Don't Look Any Further by Dennis Edwards.

Tupac and Biggie rivalry was what started the East Coast - West Coast fued in the 90’s, these guys are legendary in the US rap game, Tupac was indeed shot 5 times like he says at a studio where he was gonna meet Biggie in a upper level studio but tupac was robbed and shot in the lobby and he luckily survived and up until this point they were friends but tupac felt biggie had something to do with it because he was at the same studio which started this rivalry, biggie denies having anything to do with it though. But anyway Tupac was shot a second time over a year later in a separate occasion which was the fatal one. As for the Bad Boy dissing, tupac is basically dissing Biggie and his whole record label including his manager, crew, friends etc.

The Greatest Diss Song ever. Pac vs Biggie/Death Row vs Bad Boy. The Quad Studios Shooting of Pac Started everything especially after Suge's Bodyguard passed away at a party in Atlanta after a altercation with Bad Boy which was before the Quad Studios Shooting. Pac felt betrayed cause he basically said if biggie was his real friend, He would've told him who shot him or at least helped to find out who did it especially since it was done in NY. It's sad that they were never able to sit down one on one and work it out as man. Both died extremely too young. RiH Makaveli
