You asked what happened. The brief overview: 2pac was friends with Biggie and even gave him industry advice. During a visit to NY, he stopped by biggie's recording studio. When he entered the lobby he was jumped and shot 5 times. Biggie and company denied any involvement. But while pac was still recovering from his wounds in prison (he was jumped while out on bail) Biggie dropped the song "who shot ya". A song where Biggie brags about literally shooting his competition and standing over them as they die, making him the sole king. While they claimed the song was unrelated, and had been written earlier, everyone knew what it would look like to drop it after pac had just been set up and shot in biggie's building. As you can see. Pac took being nearly MURDERED by someone he considered to be a friend very personally. The day he got out of jail he recorded hit em up. I know it's aggressive, but what would you say to the man who tried to have you killed and then sold records mocking your pain?

One thing you should know about 2Pac is he takes ALOT of things seriously. One of them is LOYALTY. 2Pac and Biggie were the best of friends. 2Pac putted Biggie on and got him into rap. One time at the Bad Boys Records label he got shot at 5 times. When they were preparing to load him into the ambulance he stuck two middle fingers up at P Diddy and Big. He never claimed that Biggie set it up but he knows who’s responsible and that hurted 2Pac. 2Pac went on interviews and talked about it and then a bunch of the East Coast rappers were bringing their piece into the matter and 2Pac didn’t like that.
