I am absolutely here for every bit of this. Car radio is one you should check out. Honestly, there isn't a miss in their entire arsenal of music catalog. Tyler is a musical savant. Blurryface is personification of his insecurities and goes by a few other names. Tyler has created a lore than spans mutiple albums and will astonish you once who understand all of the connections, the pieces of the puzzle, the callbacks to previous songs, the characters.. i could go om for days. There are songs that tell stories and do need to be played in order to be told to the point it makes sense. He is a champion for mental health awareness. Us TØP fans will help guide you down the rabbit hole.

Let's calm down, Tyler is talented, he isn't a savant. He's not a once in a generation talent. Half of their lyrics are cringe teen angst.

Blurryface is meant to be a sort of "alter ego" that is a manifestation of all of your fears and insecurities. It takes a villainous role in their music, and a lot of their album "Blurryface" is about the battle for control between oneself and Blurryface. Blurryface is that voice in your head that tells you you're not enough or sows doubts into your thoughts. The relationship between yourself and Blurryface is really at the crux of the character. Blurryface is a very powerful being, but Blurryface can only function on power that YOU give it. I'd highly recommend checking out "The Judge", "Doubt", "Not Today", and "Goner" if you want more insight into Blurryface.

Epic was when Tyler was burnt on “Stressed Out” and ad libbed that it was played out and his mom probably couldn’t stand it any more and was humbled by the “NO, that song is how I found y’all! It probably saved my life!” Backlash from the clique.

Ohhhh, you’ve really opened Pandora’s box now!!!! Twenty one pilots are an awesome band - it’s just the 2 of them (other than their last project that had some additional live musician support). The singer - Tyler, writes all the songs, lyrics and makes his own beats too. He also plays piano, bass guitar, uke, electric guitar etc. The other guy - Josh, is an awesome drummer. They do rap, rock, alternative, EDM, reggae, R & B, spoken word, pop etc! They are literally genre-less! Their live shows are something else entirely- absolutely amazing live, very engaged with their audience in ways you don’t normally see. I’d recommend Migraine, Lane Boy or Ode to Sleep for starters!

There is an entire lore behind these songs. In Trench you find out that Blurryface is Nicos, Dema is introduced as well. Then in Scaled and Icy you actually get to look at the inside of Dema. Watch their first live concert of Scaled and Icy. It shows so many clues. These guys are so deep musically, spiritually and story telling. And you get this in every single song of theirs. Love them so much

Blurry face is a Bishop, basial one of the 9 pieces in his mind that keeps him down/ is negative. from a studybreaks article "Twenty One Pilots’ past three projects have been concept albums. The band’s lore began with the personification of “Blurryface”: a dark blend of genres that worked with their usual themes of mental health, doubt and religion. The titular character was introduced as the embodiment of Joseph’s insecurities. Joseph explained to MTV News: “It’s a guy that kind of represents all the things that I as an individual - but also everyone around me - am insecure about. When I think about insecurities and my insecurities are getting the best of me, the things that I think of are kind of a feeling of suffocation and then also the things that I create with my hands … Very dramatic, I know, but it helps me get into that character.”

Most, if not all, of Twenty Pilots music is rock with rap elements. They also usually deal with topics of depression and suicidal ideation. This is far from their best song, it’s really good but they have a lot of better songs. My favorites are probably Migraine, Guns for Hands, and Car Radio.

The lead singer of 21 pilots was very self conscious and would always cover his face when performing with masks, and in earlier music videos his face would be blurred out. That is where the "blurry face"comes from. NEXT SONG SHOULD BE 21 PILOTS "Heathens"
