Enjoyed your reaction, Ace! Glad you enjoyed this. It is fun to sing along to this. I agree about singer ad-libs -- it's great when they let themselves do that and don't try to be absolutely by the book. Heep was one of my very top favorite bands in my teenage years. Lots more good Uriah Heep songs -- Easy Livin', Look at Yourself, Bird of Prey is wild, The Wizard, July Morning, Magician's Birthday, Time to Live, Beautiful Dream.

One of my earliest favorite bands. Heavy rock and roll from some ultra-talented British musicians. And they are still performing today with original guitarist Mick Box in his 70s. This is a rabbit hole you might want to explore. Uriah Heep has a plethora of solid songs. A few of my faves: Gypsy, Lady in Black, Look at Yourself, Easy Livin' and July Morning, with some fantastic work by keyboardist Ken Hensley. If you're ever feeling ambitious, there's also their 16-minute opus Salisbury. I am thoroughly enjoying your reactions to these songs that I grew up with. Your enthusiasm is infectious and reminds me of my own joy when I discovered these tunes. Keep up the good work, my man.

They gave that ending in concert. I saw them in 1976, December 6th 6 inches of snow on the ground and some of the roads , I was 9 months pregnant of which I delivered Dec/12/76 . It was a great show. They do a mid evil style rock this is one of my favorite bands. They have albums full of great songs. 👁️🫀This band one of top 3! I'm a Heepster!

A British rock band who's lead guitarist is playing a solo in the style that's akin to that of southern rock...bending blues licks typically 'played around the minor 3rd' are instead being played around the major 3rd. Played on a clean twangy guitar, like a Fender Telecaster, and it's Nashville country. Play it similarly on an overdriven growling guitar and it's good ol' southern rock. About the best way I could describe the lead guitar style to a listener who's not a playing musician; have been on either lead or bass in local rock bands for 52 years.

STOOD ON RIDGE stealin when I shoulda been buyin.. yea I was that 16yr old juvenile delinquent rock-n-roller & Uriah Heep was the band Dude of that era that filled Lakefront stadium with 80,000 of my closest friends in 75 KEEP on rockin and giddyup ACE theHEART

Bassist was Gary Thain. The best IMO they had. This was an amazing time for them. The three albums before this were just out there good.

There was No Country music sounding like Uriah Heep in 1972 or 1973. I've seen Uriah Heep play first before Deep Purple. Deep Purple was the Headliner. That night they were second rate band. Uriah Heep had folk who were on LSD running away to escape the sounds and concussions. It was crazy good.

In the '70s, Uriah Heep played a few shows with...Earth, Wind, & Fire as the opening band. Shades of Bill Graham's odd pairings at the Fillmore East (Woody Herman's Thundering Herd opening for Led Zeppelin?!? Miles Davis & Laura Nyro??!)
