Troy Donockley, the sixth band member, had guested on earlier albums but became a full member in Oct 2013 at the same time as Floor. Here he is playing the bouzouki and in other songs he plays whistles, Uilleann(elbow) pipes, Guitar with E-bow etc etc. You'll find him in so many songs in the later concerts but to really hear the pipes go to I Want My Tears Back at Buenos Aires 2018/19. Or The Greatest Show on Earth either at Wembley or Tampere. There is an instrumental at Wacken 2013 called Last of the Wilds which is fun.

Marko's doubleneck is called "The Beast", custom made by Framus (six tring) and Warwick (Bass). Marko is also a masterful guitar player.

Kai Hahto is the drummer since 2014 when Jukka stepped down because of extreme insomnia he had been suffering with for years he's in management now . Troy is the multi instrumentalist was playing an Irish Bouzouki it like a mandalin . he also plays whistles, guitar Uilleann bag pipes . Troy became a full member the same year as Floor in 2013

Great reaction! As your membership questions have already been dealt with, here’s a list of songs Marko plays the acoustic part of his 2-necked beast. Elvenjig/Elvenpath live at Buenos Aires, Dead Boy’s Poem also at BA, The Islander live at Tampere. The performance you just now reacted to was part of the same show which mainly consisted of songs from their 2015 album Endless Forms Most Beautiful. The most impressive and epic song in that show was the closing song: The Greatest Show On Earth. A topic very prominently present in both that 2015 album and the 2020 album Human :||: Nature (although less scientificly addressed). Ohh, many great Nightwish discoveries will befall you yet, Metal Man.

First : Kai Hahto was a member of the grindcore band Rotten Sound. In 2004 Hahto became one of the founders of the band Wintersun and left Rotten Sound later in 2005. In 2009-2012 Kai Hahto played about 300 shows with doom-death-metal band Swallow the Sun as a session drummer. Hahto has an endorsement relationship with Meinl cymbals, Pearl drums and hardware, Balbex drumsticks, Roland V-Drums and Finfonic earphones. On 6 August 2014, it was announced that Hahto will be playing drums on the forthcoming Nightwish album, replacing Jukka Nevalainen, who went on hiatus from the band due to insomnia, and Hahto performed on all live shows since that date. This concert in Tampere Finland in 2015 is as epic as 2013 Wacken. You must react to The Greatest Show On Eath, which they finished the show out with in Tampere, but watch it to the very end of the video.

Drummer is Kai Hahto. Jukka had to leave the band for health reasons, but still works for them behind the scenes in management. The other guy is Troy Donockley, from the UK. He became a full time member the same time Floor did, but only appears in a couple of songs from the Wacken 2013 show. The further you go from that show to the present, you’ll see/hear more and more from him. He plays, as in this video, the bouzouki, as well as the Uilleann pipes (an Irish variety of bagpipes), flutes and whistles, acoustic and electric guitar, and he sings, as well. It started out at Wacken 2013 he was only onstage for a couple of songs…today there are only a couple of songs he’s NOT onstage for.

Yep, Marko's double neck is a bass/guitar combo. 'The Beast' is a custom Warwick bass with Framus guitar (both brand names are owned by the same company). I think it's piezo pickups that gives the guitar neck that sound. As others have said, Troy is playing an Irish bouzouki. That is a relative of the Mandola. Yes, 8 strings ( 4 courses of strings). The song is a criticism of the negative aspects of organized religion. They are not opposed to having beliefs or to religion itself. Jukka called Kai Hahto to take his seat in 2014 due to health issues caused by severe insomnia, but is still with the band in management. 'The Islander' from this Tampere 2015 show will give you a good look at the Framus guitar neck, and has Marko lead vocals.

Marko Hietala (pron: HEE-ah-Tallah) plays a custom Warwick double neck here, nicknamed The Beast. When you see The Islander, you will hear the special tone of the guitar. Kai Hahto, formerly of Wintersun, is a master technician with petfect posture. He uses wrists and fingers instead of bashing wildly like Jukka. Kai rarely raises his arms above his heart, he's not flashy. But if you're interested, Kai has a lot.of drum cams where you will not just hear, but SEE how awesome he is! Kai can switch lead hands from right to left and back just for fun...he's easily in the top.drummers of a generation! And, lastly, as you will learn... Troy, who.plays everything, and sings... is a.magical creature...full stop.

When you go back to Wacken 2013, you can see that Troy Donockly was already there, e.g. playing the Uillean pipes in "I want my tears back" . BTW he is a multi instrumentalist. Old joke: question: "Troy, what instruments do you play?" Troy: "Yes" Watch Nightwish's "How's the heart" acoustically (Planet Rock, only Floor and Troy), there you can admire Troy playing the acoustic guitar, and one of the best performances of Floor IMO.

His previous band was Wintersun, another amazing Finnish metal band with incredibly complex and beautiful compositions. Marko is playing "the Beast". Warwick bass on top, Framus guitar on bottom. He usually uses the Framus portion to create an acoustic guitar tone. The new band member is Troy Donockley. He is an Englishman and an incredible multi-instrumentalist. He is most famous for playing the Uilleann pipes (Irish Bagpipes) and Irish whistles but also plays the Irish Bouzouki here as well as both acoustic and electric guitars, especially using an ebow to mimic violin or cello lines. He was a session player on Annette era albums (he is in the music video for the Islander), toured with them on the Imaginarium tour, and become a permanent member at the same time as Floor. Others have mentioned other songs he is is in. Greatest Show on Earth, Last of the Wilds, Elan, and Elvenjig/Elvenpath are some of my favorites. The last one is an interesting mashup. Elvenjig is an instrumental mostly based on a song from his previous Celtic folk band Iona and Elvenpath is an early Nightwish song from their first album Angels First Fall. The song is Tuomas's diatribe against organized religion. I don't know for sure if he is an atheist but he definitely does not like when people unthinkingly and uncritically go through life and in this song and others (Tribal) he takes religions to task for their failures and the dangers they can pose when people blindly follow them.

Troy came on board the same time Floor did! If you ask Troy what instrument he plays...he replies..."Yes!" He also has a really great voice! Now... Jukka, the drummer you have seen, had to step down because of severe insomnia...( side note...I understand what he went through...as I had the same symptoms as he did, I saw stuff that wasn't there, I was not getting into REM sleep, unbelievable migraines....etc! Mine turned out to be chronic and obstructive sleep apnea. I have been using a Bipap machine since early 2001 ) Kai is the new drummer...and they happen to be good friends, and have very similar styles. Jukka is still with Nightwish in a managerial role. If you want to hear Troy sing, Check out the Lyric Video of "Harvest"... it's awesome! Also, Troy and Floor perform some songs, acoustic style..just Troy playing an acoustic guitar and Floor singing! I love the song " How's The Heart" that they perform! Hope this helps!

And as for Marko - his formal music education was on classical guitar, electric and acoustic guitars and bass came later. There are plenty of vocal coach reactions out there so i'm glad to hear about the other members and instruments as well. There are two reasons I watch reaction videos. First, it's my main source of finding new music that I may not find otherwise. Second, although i've heard a lot of these songs tons of times before, I have to admit I like to re-live that first time listening to the song vicariously through someone else's first listen, and even if they don't like the song in the end, I still appreciate both that they took the time to listen to the song, and that I get to hear their personal opinion on it. Weak Fantasy is about religion and christianity in particular. Examples are tribal poetry wich refers to the bible, male necrocracy which refers to jesus and mothers milk laced with poison wich refers to children that are raised from birth with this crap. The album Endless Forms Most Beautiful is an ode to evolution and refers to the works of Charles Darwin and Professor Richard Dawkins, who is an evolutionary biologist. The spoken text of that album is actually done by Richard Dawkins. Now Tuomas was raised lightly as a christian and you can tell by some of the lyrics on the earlier albums. However, he got educated on the bible and evolution and this album was the result. Here's a video that shows Tuomas and Troy declaring themselves secular and why kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHvYiH-hidynfNU I understand that the rest of the band feels the same way, based on some interviews I read. I believe it was actually Marko who introduced Tuomas to the writings of Richard Dawkins but I'm not 100% sure. The song Tribal on the current album also goes into the same topic some more. As an ex-christian I get a lot of the references and I just love both these songs for obvious reasons.

If Troy or anyone else in the band plays it, it's supposed to be played always, Troy has been playing with the band since 2006 I think 🤔 became a permanent member in 2013 with floor, Jukka the original drummer suffered from insomnia for years and could no longer play 2014-2015 he brought in kai who was a friend of his, kai is a great drummer quality remained true to this band of nothing but talent, Troy can play many instruments but doesn't play on all songs but when he does it is wonderful new subscriber watched several times I like your journey, the respect for nightwish and your questions that show your real interest in great music God bless
