This was the video that made Al a star. Not only is ti the original set, but the guy in the white suit is Michael's choreographer from the original "Beat It" video. Both Michale and Al wanted it to look right--and it did! For a really scary example of Al's talent for reproduction, check out "Living With A Hernia", his James Brown parody.

another fun fact the picture is of DR Demento when Weird Al Yankovic was in college eh recorded my Bologna in 1979 and sent it to Dr Demento and he played it on the radio and it was #1 on the Funny Five for 3 weeks. during those 3 weeks he went to a Knack concert. he snuck backstage after the concert cause he wanted to meet the lead singer Doug Feiger he introduced himself and Doug was like oh you are the My Bologna Guy and the guy to Dougs right was the Vice President of Capitol Records they ended up producing the song which began his career so the Pic is of the Guy that got his song out to the world the first time Dr. Drmrnto

I love his "non-parody" songs also. I like how he can get the famous to do cameos in his videos also. If I recall, the piano player was Robert Goulet and the bass player was the Janitor from "Smells Like Teen Spirit/Smells Like Nirvana". Yes, the words are savage but funny.

If you watch Als video and Michaels video side by side, they’re almost kinda the same. I’d heard that some of the extras in Michaels video were tracked down and used in Als for this one. He also did Michaels Bad, Als is called fat. Some f the best lines used in any song.

lol one person Al had trouble with was prince!! Al had a few ideas for parodies he wanted to try with prince's songs .....but...prince would never give permission. when al went to the grammies he was seated near prince and was advised by prince's bodyguard, don't look at prince, don't talk to prince, don't come near prince!! al liked to joke that prince was a dancing midget!!

Having Weird Al parody your song is a greater honor than all of the music awards given out around the world, put together. If he hasn't received a Kennedy Center by now (or by the time I die), he most definitely should. He is a unique and gifted genius by any definition.
