This album was a monster hit in '87. My favorite of theirs is "Slow an' Easy," from '84; hard rockin' beat, with a slow bluesy intro.

Whitesnake was a bluesy/ballad machine during their heyday of the 80s-early 90s. Earlier than the 80s and then in the 00s and on they went back to a more "power blues" kind of sound. They have always been very clean sounding with great guitarwork.

Started listening to White snake in the early 80s and lot of their earlier songs where bluesey but good. But this album from 87 or 88 was a good one. This song brings back some fond memories of a certain young lady from my time in Germany. Whenever I hear White snake from this era I can't help but think back to that time in my younger days and the people and places Thanks for the trip to the back of my mind. Another song with the same vibe is Looking for Love. The solo is awesome

This was from my heyday. Damn I miss the 80s! This album (cassette tape) was one of 4 i had in constant rotation in my WalkMan listening to it walking to school. Loved Whitesnake. And RIP Tawny Kitaen. The only pin up poster I ever had on my wall. And to Asia - it's rock music. just rock. You can classify it as 80s rock, or hair-band rock. But the main point is - it's pure rock. And David Coverdale can sing his ass off. MORE WHITESNAKE: "Still Of the Night" (by far - my fav track and a crowd pleaser. Note the video is great, but they truncate the song for radio edit. The album version has more instrumental greatness), "Crying In the Rain", "Here I Go Again", and "Give Me All Your Love Tonight".

Great reaction y’all!!!!!! One of the best power ballads EVER!!!! Coverdale’s voice is the best with its bluesy grit & soul. You gotta hear their cover of “Ain’t No Love In the Heart of the City”…very soulful. Of course, you gotta hear “Still of the Night”, at their heaviest….”Don’t Break My Heart Again” Is the chit too!!! Whitesnake, Wow, I used to jam this with Ben Miyasato, Guitar buddy Walter likes "Still of the night & Here I go again." Thank you Asia & BJ for this timeless Classic. "I can't stop this feeling, I've been this way before but with you I've found the key to open any door. I can feel my love for you growing stronger day by day and I can't wait to see you again, So I can hold you in my arms. Is this love that I'm feeling, is this the love that I've been searching for, Is this love or am I dreaming? This must be love, cause it's really got a hold on me." David Coverdales Vocals are spot on and notice John Sykes is making the Guitar cry. :) Sometimes Bad is bad.

I would love to see your reaction to Whitsnake’s “Crying in the Rain.” Great lyrics and sound, with one of the best guitar solo’s ever. It’s an extremely difficult solo to play. It’s from this multi platinum album. Props to John Sykes on guitar. No one has his guitar sound. He makes the guitar sound like a violin or some kind of horn instrument at times.

Some good songs to check out- “I wish it would rain”, “Jelly Roll”, “Valley of the Kings”, “Don’t say goodbye “, “Cry for love”. Some songs may fall under the band that he formed after Whitesnake called “Blue Murder”. Enjoy! 😜🤗

Try "Slide It In", WhooHooo! Whitesnake was Hard Rock in classification during the early 80's - and then considered Hair Metal in the late 80's, the period this track is from. His actress/girlfriend was in this video (and others). Most of this band line up went on to play for Ozzy for an album or two.

David Coverdale, the lead singer of Whitesnake, is a legendary voice of classic rock music. He first became famous in 1974, when he replaced Ian Gillan as the singer of Deep Purple, but the band broke up in 1976 after Coverdale had recorded 3 albums. He went solo around 1977 and formed the band Whitesnake in 1978, releasing the debut album 'Trouble' that yr. Whitesnake became a success in Europe by 1980 and soon became popular in Japan... but US success did not come until 1987, when the self-titled 'Whitesnake' album was released, w/ re-recorded songs from their past catalog... MTV put their videos on the air, and the record sold 8 million copies in the US alone. The next album 'Slip of the tongue' sold 1 million copies in 1989, but by 1991, David Coverdale disbanded Whitesnake... Because of popular demand, David Coverdale started touring as Whitesnake again in 2003... he recently announced that he would be retiring after a final tour. More Whitesnake songs - 'Judgement day' ... 'Crying in the rain' ... "Love ain't no stranger" ... 'Give me all your love' ... 'Fool for your loving' ... 'Wings of the storm'... 🔥🔥🤘🤘
