This is very often regarded as the best verse Em has ever spit and I would have to agree. Yelawolf has a lot of non-rapping content out there. He's just a dope artist overall. The jabs at Post Malone for appropriating Yelawolf's whole style and type of content are serious and arguably valid claims. Yelawolf is one of the most underrated rappers and music artists in general in my opinion.

That line “I put my love for a woman on idle because I got beat with my mama’s belt” is so good: it’s the literal meaning that it’s hard to love a woman (love on “idle” like a car out of gear) but also plays into the whole religious framework of the song because it sounds like a homophone for “over idol” as in the first commandment: you shall have no other God before me so it sounds like he was beat by his mom so he’s afraid to love a woman as that could be forming an idol before God 🤯🤯🤯

It's about the fact that Christian mothers take dating and pre marital sex seriously and never allow their children to learn how to develop healthy relationships because of it. My mother said you date for marriage and since I'm not old enough to marry, I'm not old enough to date. This is absolutely one of his most densely packed with bars verses he’s ever written, the verse structure is one of his best ever and the cadences and flows he uses to hop in and out of different pockets are masterful. This is one of his best verses ever and arguably one of the best rap verses of all time from a technical standpoint. I have watched maybe 30 of your reactions and I’m not sure how or why but I had a high opinion of your hip hop knowledge, appreciation and credibility early on. But I thought your last few videos were weak and this is your worst yet. I think "Darkness" by Eminem should be on your list for reactions. When you finally figure out exactly what's going on, it makes you go back and re-listen and it all makes sense. Not to mention the video is absolutely incredible.

I think this is generally considered one of Em's best verses... If not of his career, then at least within the second decade of it.
