Really enjoyed your video and I want to start by saying thank you for trying to pronounce the names correctly, we value that, and also your criticism is very welcome because it is only the truth and often outside observations are important as long as done in a respectful manner as you did. The footage of the Sunset in Cascais was just amazing. I have to say though, that even if you're right about the prices, you could have saved a bit here and there. Next time you think of coming to Lisbon, and I hope you do, compare the prices in high and low season as we often have good weather in low season (and fewer crowds). Hope you had a great time here in Lisbon.

Thanks for the support! And yes, we are definitely aware we didn't do things in the cheapest possible way. Sometimes when we want to see as much of a new place as we can in a short amount of time it can be worth spending a bit more. For example eating in a more expensive touristy area rather than walking far away to save a little bit. The main reason for sharing our budget was just that we thought it might be helpful to other travelers. Overall we had a great time in Lisbon and we would love to go back! You have a good point about the low season, we will definitely consider that when we have a chance to return in the future.

My dear Balkan friends, it was great having you here in my country. I hope you can come back again soon, there’s still so much more to see, like the amazing Algarve coast. Big hug and all the best!

You eat sandwiches in pricy places. Get to local, non-turistic places and the prices will come down and quality of food will go up. Missing the food in Portugal is missing one of the strongest points.

Those guys offering drugs are scammers. Those are not real drugs,they're just trying to get your money. Simply say no and move on.

Thanks for the information. We would certainly tell them no either way, but that is good to know.

As a portugueses i am so sorry about your experience, as far as the prices are concerned there is no possible excuse and the same about the housing. People got greedy and i am ashamed that for 2 days you spent só much. I wouldn' t be surprise if tourists penalized Portugal and started to not come to Lisboa. Also , about you having felt not completely safe, portugueses government has not been able to ( or don' t care enough) to solve the housing problem or to provide immigrants conditions to stay in the country in a humanitarian and dignified way. So, so sorry.

No need to be sorry! Overall we had a very positive experience. We liked Lisbon and we would love to return one day. We just wanted to include those comments at the end to share our full experience and not exclusively the good sides. Every place has its own pros and cons. Plus we definitely understand these issues affect the locals more than tourists. Tourists are probably even the cause of some of the cost of living issues. Thanks for watching!

Do you want cheap tourism? If price is high and people still visiting you...👍
@alexandrapatricio272721 күн бұрын
@@fatimaSM236 não é uma questão de querer um turismo barato, é apenas ter consciencia de que é errado pagar 600 euros por 2 dias em lisboa.

Please try to understand, before the pandemic there were four times fewer homeless people in Lisbon, crime was low, refugees and illegal immigrants arriving in Europe by boat, In recent years, almost a million Brazilians have arrived in Portugal and many have not been able to succeed and were left homeless. Crime and the drug comsumption is increasing and skyrocket and many say it is due to the completely open door policy and mass immigration. What's more, the thousands of Expats and Digital Nomads who went to Lisbon with better salaries, sent many people to the streets and others to the suburbs. I think it's fair to say that the people you saw in the city center selling flour and pressed rosemary are Gypsies and they are only there because tourists buy , the day they stop buying, they will disappear. And the pickpockets on Tram 28 are almost all Romanians and Moldovans. I'm sorry, but it's the truth!!! I can tell you some cities with more homeless people, Paris, Rome, London, Athens, Naples, among others, It's a trend, unfortunately.

That all makes sense, thank you for the information. Getting a local’s perspective definitely helps us understand the situation better.
