Got the earlier model Response 8x8 stick steering great toy and tool but for flowing water 3mph or more recommend a small petrol or electric outboard, easy fit and definately a 5hp will shove it along no problem.

Yes I have one now, and was always the plan. This was only the first time in the water, if you check out later videos in the series, you will see how I managed that.

In what context? tiedowns on the argo or tiedowns on the trailer? The trailer has tiedowns built into the bed specifially for the argo, and a hefty bump rail, the entire bed is checkerplate steel. the argo has few if any tiedowns. I have to use the axles to lash it down.

@@raynersturton5162 I think it all up cost me about $6500 from a trailer specialist. the tiedowns were 50mm wide jobs off the shelf at supercheap auto. My trailer has hydraulic override brakes and and a pintle hitch to match my military vehicles.

Low gear when entering, switch to high gear once floating

Hi mate, great video. I just bought a 2016 8x8 avenger and can't wait to give it a good go. Just curious- what size trailer does the argo require? I've got a 10x5 cage trailer and I'm assuming it might just fit on it...

I had my trailer custom made, it's a tilt bed so I don't need to worry about ramps. I'll have to measure it, but 10 foot sounds about right

Theyre nice for offroading and mud but they arent to great in the water with a alot of people or a big load. We were in one with 6 people and it almost flipped over. They arent exactly stable in the water

The manufacturer states 4 people in water. Most watercraft aren't great when overloaded
