This is a response to your challenge about doing what you love in life despite issues. I wanted to be a sword maker when I was 8 years old, I guess a lot of kids do but I really wanted to. I knew it must be my dream job. People told me I was too young to work a forge and that no one was buying anyway. Fast forward to having no money and being physically broken in and out of a wheel chair at 36...If not then? When? So I took packing crates and I made planter boxes out of them and sold them. I took that money and bought tools to do it faster. I took the new money and bought tools for shaping metal but I couldn't heat treat it, that was more money I didn't have. I found someone who could heat treat and found the amount I needed to treat at once to make a profit. From there it was practice. I am still physically broken, my body doesn't work 3 out of 7 days but I am apprentice to master Scott Sands and my swords sell for 3k each when I finish one, one day if I practice hard my swords will sell for 20k like his. If not now, when?

Ok. I’m not even half way through and I have to comment. Man, I don’t know you and I absolutely fucking love you. Like, want to spend an afternoon eating fish and chips and chatting with you. We have different lives, different setting, different players, same same nonetheless. Ren connects people. Full stop. I love love and I mean love how you talk to your imaginary buddy. I don’t know why, it’s makes it so much more authentic and real for some reason. You are so real and present and I appreciate that about you. I won’t lie, I want to be your friend.

Physical stuff you don't know is happening inside you can also majorly impact your mental health. I thought I was having another breakdown a few weeks back, I lashed out at work which is totally not me, I am constantly physically fatigued, everything was a mental struggle, so I thought the physical fatigue was from being brain fried. I was crying loads, frustrated loads, really REALLY irritable and anxious. Everything was pointing mental health, self deletion thoughts the lot. So, got in contact with the docs, put me on antidepressants for the here and now and sent me for a blood test. Turns out I have a vitamin b12 deficiency. Symptoms? Irritability Depression Fatigue Vision loss (I thought my eyes were getting worse because of my age) Plus a few more things I can't think of off the top of my head but made perfect sense. Am now on meds as of yesterday to raise my b12 and back at work in 2 weeks. Able to come back off the antidepressants in 2 weeks once my vitamin levels raise and my mental health will sort itself out. My advice to anyone struggling mentally, get a blood test. It might be something so simple that's creating the hell you're living in. Much love to all ❤

Yes Ray!!! Congrats on 50k!🎉 Ren spits pure fire…. I think I’m correct in saying Ren describes his “genre” as Bardcore. He’s one of those artists that transcends genre, he’s got it all, and more interestingly he’s bringing together people from all walks of life regardless of the divisions we as a society have created. And you’re helping to push this phenomenon, kudos bro 👊

This is one of my favorites. I listened until I knew it by heart. I literally use this a biofeedback tool for me. It’s awesome! And when he talks about “begging for a lobotomy”….. I literally asked my neurologist to do that. (He laughed, I wasn’t, but he knew I was just throwing him the extreme “fix” for it. (I had meningitis that messed up my brain and nervous system). It gets to be too much sometimes. So I loved that line and this song! 💗

I think what I’ve gathered from this last couple years listening to people on here is the artists that really move people have such a ridiculous freedom to them. Snow, Harry Mack, Ren…they just push and take to edge and do what the my want in art…so let this be the message, be you man. Try new stuff, push yourself, bring yourself to the edge, find freedom in your art…

Thanks for your great additions to the massive give from Ren and giving even more understanding to the unending depth. At 72 I have a limited understanding of the breadth of rap. I have learned a lot recently from listening both to Ren and to reactions from people who really understand rap from many different rap genres. Helping me deal with the inevitable changes of being 72 not 42, 52 or even 62. Love to all ❤

Not sure how I missed this one. Great reaction! I love your energy. Ren's beats are amazing! It's interesting how in the beginning, the way he separates his words in strange places makes you feel like he's out of step with the world. It's very choppy but it just adds to the song. I love it! Those are mashed peas actually...it's a UK thing lol.

"Mental always kicks my ass more than the physical does." Damn. That hit. From the perspective of being abused as a child, the bruises, sprains and broken bones healed, at 48yo I am still battling the mental shit tho. CPTSD is a bitch. And then the second my head felt a bit better a decade or so ago, my body turned on me... I so feel some of these lyrics. Eish. Ouch.
