It's a nice quote but there's a fair amount of research on how wealth fucks up people's brains. Famously there was a study on 1v1 monopoly games, where one player was given double the starting money. Naturally that player wins, and almost every time that player would talk about how well they played and their strong strategy, despite the obvious advantage they had. They also took more snacks more often from the communal bowl. Expensive cars also tend to be driven more recklessly and selfishly.

I respect what you're saying, your opinion is valid as is your point of view, I don't hold the power to tell you that your comment or opinion is wrong. However, my point of view is slightly different. You say that with money you can build with it, repair with it, make things better......... the only constant in making that happen is a human being and more to the point.... belief. Money is a belief system, money doesn't build things, repair things or make things better, human beings do all of those things. It's the exchange of belief that makes the belief system that is 'money' make the things you mention happen but it's human beings that physically build things, repair things and make things better (or equally all the opposite of those). It's all about belief. A quote from a book I wrote called The WOMB (World Of Make Believe): "You bring to life what you believe, you believe what you bring to life and you bring life to the belief". I do agree that money is not the root, or route, of or to evil, evil itself is the root and route to money and all the heartache, harm, wars and disasters caused in the name of it. The opposite is the same too, good is the route and root to money when the belief is used for good. I hope that makes sense? The constant is always the belief though, we just have to believe different to change the world. That's just my opinion.

Money Game Part 2 AND Money Game part 3 are out there too - Pt2 I feel is the best - REN Genius who tells the story of how money works and hear what you say man you are good :) REN has a dozen songs that are just extraordinary The guy in the video is from a band called The Big Push who mainly do covers but are a band of superb musicians and REN plays with them. I'm late, but I'll comment anyway 😅 What I take from this is he understands the money game but as you said he doesn't know how to end him (him being the money game). How can you blame the 'money' or 'the game', when you know you participate in it? I feel this way myself - Even though I understand the game enough, it doesn't stop me from being sucked into it every now and then. But it seems almost impossible to escape the 'money' (consumer) game completely. Just a continous cycle, or as you said rat race. I appreciated your thoughts and wise words Ray!
