You were so funny I almost fell off my chair. The comments you make are so spot on, but that’s what make them funny. I knew what was coming with the faster song and then the duet with Frank so I was prepared to watch your reaction. That was Franks daughter Nancy Sinatra who was engaged. She met Elvis at the airport with gifts from Frank that were formal shirts for him. She later did a movie with Elvis and she always admitted later on that she had a crush on him but they never got romantically involved. I believe at one time when they were making the movie together they made out a bit but it was very innocent and didn’t go far at all. Great pick. Thanks to you and the person who chose it. 😊😊❤❤❤🎸🕺🏻🎸🕺🏻🎸🎤🌹🌹🌹🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

Nancy is Frank’s daughter who a few yrs later had the hit song, These Boots are Made for Walking. She had a crush on Elvis and co starred in one of his later movies. The guy teasing Frank, was Joey Bishop, one of the rat pack. The entire Rat Pack, except for Dean Martin who had a commitment was present to welcome home Elvis. In the beginning they and other celebs formed lines to great him. Sammy Davis was one of them, and Elvis and he became friends.

This was right after he got out of the army 1960, and he actually was afraid people forgot him while he was gone. Imagine. I saw this show in real time and know that Frank was actually a little jealous of Elvis but needed to boost the ratings, so he complied.. But after Frank got to know Elvis they were good friends. As you know from the movie Frank lent Elvis his plane to Fly he and Priscilla to Get married in Vegas. And a fact, toward the end of Elvis life when he was hospitalized Frank called him and said "Listen Elvis, you got to take care of yourself, I'm worried about you". Later when Elvis died, Frank said, "There have been many accolades uttered about Elvis' talent and performances, but more than that Elvis Changed music and culture, I am just a singer but Elvis was a warm, considerate and generous man, and I shall miss him dearly as a friend." Watch "Elvis Presley King of Kindness", also "Elvis Presley, a Generous Heart". Thank you for all your Elvis reactions, you are a great reactor.

I just love your honesty and how much fun you have with the videos and I know how much you truly admire and love Elvis. Elvis looks like a dream in this video, he was fit and fine just coming out of the army. What an iconic moment in history. I mean look at Elvis's hair it was gorgeous, before he started moving around too much it was like perfection, he was so fine all he had to do was walk around and the women swooned🤣. He was the most handsome man I've ever seen in my life and I had such a crush on him when I was a young lady and in my mind's eye, there is and never will be anyone that could compete or compare to Elvis Presley💕

In 1960, Frank was 45 and Elvis was 25. Frank was the sex symbol of his generation and it was a historic moment in the music world when these two giants shared the same stage and breathed the same air. At first, Frank didn`t want to do this show with Elvis. He wasn`t at all keen on Elvis, and he probably felt quite intimidated by him. Nancy Sinatra (his daughter) once said in an interview that her father was very nervous while preparing for the show. But when he met Elvis, he seemed to have had a change of heart. It was a clash of generations, but Frank was a professional, and he smoothly and elegantly handed over his "Sex-appeal Scepter" to Elvis, as if to say "Been there, done that, saw it all. Here, kid, you have it!". The most difficult jump is the jump over your own shadow. Well done, Frank! Respect!

I think he did hold back his moves a bit because Sinatra's show was "old school". If you watch Sinatra singing 'Witchcraft' from this show you'll see the difference. With the song 'Stuck on you' my addiction to him started, about 45 years ago. :-) I love your reactions to Elvis! Thank you💚🌞

It’s SUCH a delight seeing a new Elvis reaction from you! I love this one - how can you not! After-the-Army Elvis is fascinating. His Mom had passed when he was in basic training, then he had to confront that fresh loss and grief while also not knowing if he could maintain a successful entertainment career when finished with his service. His post army interview in his Dad’s office at Graceland is really interesting to watch. Plus, he’s just enchantingly beautiful during this time. Always, of course! But those first months home were 🥵 lol! So looking forward to your Elvis live!!

It's such a historic moment, with the aging heartthrob giving way to the young heartthrob. And they sounded so angelic together, and I'm glad you caught that little reprise they did at the end, because I've seen many people react to this and for some reason they stop it before that happens and they don't get to see that second half of it that you described so well. Milton Berle variety show in 1956, in the spring, with Elvis doing Hound Dog and make sure to do the long version because there is one where his famous moment at the end where he goes down to half tempo even though it had never been practiced that way with the band, and it almost turns into a burlesque, that's what set off that huge firestorm, but I've seen it where that gets chopped off. Plus the longer one you get to see some back-and-forth banter just like in this one. I know you would love it. It's in black and white from early 1956.

You have to understand, Frank was Elvis before Elvis. That joke Sinatra made about girls screaming for a male singer was because Frank had that effect in his younger days. The massive entertainers went from Bing Crosby to Frank Sinatra to Elvis to The Beatles. Things started breaking up a bit and no one was that dominant again until Michael Jackson. And because of the way music is consumed now, there will never be another artist in that string.

I love this performance even though I've seen it many times. Your reactions bring a new take on Elvis and I love that too. The sad thing is at this time Elvis just getting out of Army and he was bringing a new sound, Sinatra was old school but Sinatra out lived the younger talent. Elvis didn't have 20 years left, Sinatra lived another good 30 years. 😢

I remember when Elvis appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. They didn't want him to move. You can tell he wanted to. The cameras only shot him from the hips up. They knew they couldn't stop him from moving. You're right, he don't even have to sing. All he had to do was stand in the middle of the stage with those beautiful crystal blue eyes, that beautiful crooked smile, beautiful teeth and that would be enough. Even better yet, put him on a revolving stage and just let him stand still while the stage goes around in a circle. When he did a show the ticket line would be wrapped all the way around the block. If you want to read more on Elvis, you can Google: Elvis appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. You're so funny. You feel just like the women did about Elvis, if not more so...😂🤣😅

Perfect Doo-wop song. Not familiar with the song but definitely familiar with the genre. Thanks Helene; and, thank you for the reaction. Frank & Elvis - a 'changing of the guard' generationally.

They really did sound great together. He didn't do many duets (again due to the Colonel), but I love him in duets. But then, I just love him!!

He had to keep his performance tame because of the audience that Sinatra had. But it worked because then the older generation accepted him. His doing his stint in the service really broke the ice with them also.
