Yeah, that reaction is totally understandable. There have been many routines even in the last like five or six years since I've been into beatbox that literally give me like full body goosebumps like you can't breathe bro. You hear some shit that just absolutely breaks your brain. You should consider listening to some beatbox loopstation. It's crazier and the 2023 competitors are way crazier than 2021. The number 2 qualifier this year ICE from Saudi Arabia is absolutely nuts.

The first time I watched this battle it was live I broke my phone, turned it on to my laptop. This feeling never went away in the 12 or so years I’ve been watching beatbox. There’s always something new. I remover watch inertia in his west coast battles and helium when he was a young 14 year old prodigy. All the weird shit turns into controlled precise rhythms and beats, I’ve yet to understand it myself.

Gbb23 will happen in October. There wasn’t one in 2022 because of money or something like that (i don’t really know) and yes, every beatboxer i can think of has drastically improved since 2021. Beatboxing is a really niche type of thing but i love how much it’s been growing recently.

Welcome to the community. The battles sure are killer. I'd recommend anything by Napom battle wise. Especially his latest participation in the Florida Beatbox Battle. Even if you don't post a reaction I highly recommend the watch. If you're looking for something more musical anything by DEN is great. I loved his 2021 wildcard and some of his tracks he made for BBU22. Again loved the reaction. Nothing beats seeing someone discovering this for the first time. Also the beatboxer Helium did what is known as a counter to King Inertia in this battle by doing KI's beat back at him in a better a matching way as if to say "you're not so special."

The first time I heard modern beatbox I thought it wasn’t possible too, I was like there’s no way people can make these noises lol. But I’ve been diving into to it for awhile now and it never gets old. King inertia is a master at what they call “inward bass” it’s a technique of breathing in with your throat very constricted, learning it will make you gag and want to throw up lol
