Jennie has always been the most healthy looking in terms of weight and Jisoo too Lisa used to be very skinny but she has gained some weight now Rosé has lost some weight compared to their debut days but she still looks good

This is one of my favorite songs from Blackpink I think they will not be Blackpink anymore but they really brought girl K-pop here to the states .. I believe Blackpink open it up for more female K-pop groups to become as big as the boy groups . Girl K-pop has been around as long as the boy K-pop groups but they don’t seem to get as much recognition as the boy groups but I believe Blackpink changed that ! Just my opinion 🩷

I think your comment regarding the YG formula is spot on. But I think this process was more trailblazing for BP vs those that followed (BM). I have a feeling with their contract renewal for certain BP activities/music and their separate labels we will start seeing more of what THEY want to show us vs the YG label formula. They’ve earned more power now and I can’t wait to see what these women do next! For now - I think they deserve a healthy break :) they r amazing live and I will def see them again! 🖤🩷

The "formula" is actually a kpop formula for more banger type songs. A majority of their songs aren't like that. So once you start listening to b sides vs title songs, you'll see.

And we have to remember BLACKPINK is from the third generation. XG and BM and the others are the newest generation. I think of it as a relay race where they passed the baton onto the next generation meaning they passed the knowledge and the ability to adapt to what the new fans want… BM has just debuted. They only have a few songs out. We have to wait to see when they spread their wings out and show us how magnificent they can become. I have a feeling we are going to be seeing a different side of YG with these girls because he is once again helping and putting his own input into the songs… when BP came out, YG started having to deal with multiple controversial, legal issues with his two biggest groups Big Bang and 2ne1. And the way he introduced BP to the world and caused controversial issues in between his YG family fandom. XG is pushing the limits for K-pop and it is amazing at how different they sound but also think they are changing the K-pop industry a little too much… don’t get me wrong. I like XG. I just sometimes get overwhelmed by their creative ways.

Good reaction. As far as Jennie is concerned, you don't have to wait, you can go see her music video with Zico called "Spot". It is fair to say that Lisa's personal style is closest to the stereotypical rap heavy YG style (her 1.0 bilion view music video "Money"). Jisoo and Rose's styles are way different. Jisoo's style is diametrically opposite of Lisa, yet it is Jisoo's album that holds the record for sales by a solo female Kpop Idol, and it was Jisoo's music video "Flower" that had twice as many KZbin views as any other Jpop or Kpop music video that came out the same year (2023) (male or female, group or solo). I should say, my own bias on stage is Lisa, but Jisoo is my bias off-stage as she is actually the funniest, goofiest and most savage in real life.
