i think kpop title songs are crafted a certain way that it becomes hard for westerners to understeand. However, the album tracks of blackpink are easily one of the best lyrics and music in kpop to date. So i think if you listen to their two full albums "The Album" and "Born Pink" you will see how good blackpink music and writing truly is.

The lyrics are not that serious, especially kpop 😭. It’s just the concept that goes very hard and matches the song. Most of the time title tracks of kpop groups don’t match their personal lives of the members, it just caters to the audience. Blackpink Kill This Love is about killing their weak side to get out of a toxic relationship. You can see a bunch of metaphors in the scenery. This song actually helped victims of abusive and toxic relationships to get out of them. Open your mind more when it comes to reactions and don’t take it too seriously, especially when it comes to music.
