The second verse when he talks about being pulled over is him pretty much giving a preview of what happened to his aunt Asada Shakur and another black panther. Should look into the history of that. She's in Cuba under their protection and I believe still on top FBI list for a crime that she got framed essentially. This happened in my home state NJ
@PRSPR4 жыл бұрын
Ohhh you’re right about that, I only heard part of her story before which was that she was on the run for shooting and/or killing a cop. I remember that they had her as a most wanted fugitive or something like that. I’ll go look into her story in more depth.

I knew you would have a good reaction to this song. This song and many others of Pac's had him on the FBI watch list until they determined he would be self-destructive. It was the people around him that destroyed him. This album and his second album were both revolutionary. Side note, the bass on this song is crazy. It will ruin your speakers.

He always deals with reality he represents his people even when they won't represent them self its funny this is 91 92, I live through all of this that's why when I hear people have the best rappers conversation I always laugh i don't give you credit for your flow if you're words are empty hollow, example Eminem is a real good rapper but his words are hollow to the world we live in i don't blame him he is a white boy that loves hip-hop but he has no struggle he is a will never be able to relate to being a target for just being

I Agree But Eminems Words Are Not Empty He Has Just Another Struggle He Had Many Deep Songs , But Just Because We Cant Relate Dosent Mean His Words Are Empty (And Yes Have Alot Of Nonsense Songs I Know)
@kelseydortch7974 жыл бұрын
I fuck with him & fore his music & lyrics are good relatable. Instead of a shotgun house it was a trailer park. Instead of selling dope he was a buyer. It's just different views. The things with his mom & family are different than most but we all have family beef ( even if not like that) on their way up. It's almost like people saying if U don't rap about drugs, girls, & etc U not relatable. If that's all I grow or going 2 grow into it's no wonder the world like it is now. It's fashionable 2 be a friend these days

Preach lil homie damn! Listening to you talk about 2pac now an how you see these people nowadays are so different then in my era an I was raised in the 90's! I'm not talking shit on the new generation but it's just different. It might be from the internet I dont know but pac in my era was speaking everything we wanted to hear an it makes me happy to see the young generation understanding what the difference is between real an fake! Keep doing you homie!

Thank you fam! I feel you on that, I personally don’t mess with the new generation especially after I was introduced to the Golden Era. That’s one of the many reasons I mess with Pac, he spits that truth. Means a lot, I wish a lot more people in my generation were able to understand the difference between the real and fake. Definitely will do fam, much love

IT A SIMPLE QUESTION HOW IS POSSIBLE THAT WHAT HE DID 20 TO 25 YEARS AGO BE MORE RELEVANT TO US TODAY THAN YOU WHO ARE HERE TODAY AND LIVING THROUGH BUT CAN'T OR WON'T SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER WHAT IS WORSE IS THAT RAP MUSIC AND HIP-HOP IS THE MOST POWERFUL FORM OF ART AND EXPRESSION RIGHT NOW AND NO ONE HAS ANY THING TO SAY WOW!
@PRSPR4 жыл бұрын
I couldn’t have said it any better fam. Although I wasn’t living through all the stuff that happened 20-25 years ago, I agree that he’s words are super relevant with the times now. It’s basically seems like he wrote these songs like yesterday, that’s the sad reality because it proof that ain’t shit change. That’s the embarrassing part, nobody is utilizing the art to its most powerful form. All the music today shouldn’t even be called music in my opinion. I understand some people want club bangers but there has to be a perfect balance.
@HristinaNicole4 жыл бұрын
Men you really expect today rappers to come up like Pac? They won't because they still haven't even grew up Pac was way too wise at such young age and in his mind he was so much older than he was but these new rap and hip hop artists are rapping bout their lambos. I didn't lived in the old school era but remember back then none was rapping bout lambos all were doing some type of real shii

Crazy thing is pac actually shot 2 cops for harassing a unarmed brotha. What other rapper has ever done this?
@PRSPR4 жыл бұрын
I remember hearing that but I never verified that to be sure, that’s crazy. Exactly bro, these other rappers that claim to be gangsters wouldn’t dare shooting at the cops. On top of that it shows how real he was since he was defending the unarmed brotha that they were harassing. He truly was a one of a kind person, there will never be another person like him
@princet80884 жыл бұрын
@@PRSPR they weren't in uniform so I don't think he knew they were police until afterwards. Still, he saw 2 armed white men harassing one unarmed black man, got on one knee pointed the gun at them and started firing, think he hit one of them in the ass when they started running away from Pac.

Love the reaction, this is one of my all time favorite song by pac. And like how you spoke on not only black issues but just a small mention on what happened to us Native American's also. We always get pushed under the rug but that don't stop us from fighting for the land, the water and for everybody on this earth. You got a new fan, keep doing your thing bro. Much love and respect.

Thank you fam! Yea I really enjoy the conscious tracks from Pac, he was truly a revolutionary. In all honesty, it's disgusting how the Native American genocide always gets swept under the rug so I try to do my part speaking on issues everyone tries to forget about. I respect that fam, we're in this together. Thank you for the thoughtful comment fam, it really means a lot! Definitely will keep working, grind never stops

I understand How this generation thinks what Eminem does is great or deep because you are comparing him to what's in front of you Eminem is 46 or 47 i am 49 beside Stan every thing else has just been him just making music you are way younger than I am i lived through the crack era, imagine your mother or father on crack they selling everything in the house even your stuff, or your mother having to sell herself to one of your friends who is a dealer, don't get me wrong this is not just about Eminem this goes for nas,jay, kayne, or who ever you are calling the best, I don't give you you credit for how long you been around and you are not then or now relevant.

@@HristinaNicole Pac is number one. Can you imagine what Pac would have done if he had the years that em has to do music. Pac was under 25 when he left his legacy on earth.
