I had a big crush on Adam Ant. Plus his style was so unique even for the 80s.

If you ever get the chance to see Adam live... DO IT! He puts on a really good show. Other songs by him I recommend are: Strip, Desperate But Not Serious, Stand and Deliver, Room at the Top, Wonderful, Ant Music, Prince Charming.

The smile on your face as you watch is so spot on for how Adam Ant’s music has always made me feel. I used to swing dance to this song. Such fun. Maybe try Stand and Deliver, Prince Charming and Room at the Top (for the fashion alone). The New Romantics were known for their Byronesque outfits. I think I bought a thousand peasant tops, poet blouses and velvet jackets because of these guys. I have such love for them, even if the 100 degree heat in Texas is not appropriate velvet-jacket wearing weather. ❤️

Michael Jackson was a fan of Adam and called him up at like 5 in the morning to ask where he got his costumes from, and that’s why Michael started wearing those styles of jackets. He then invited Adam to perform at the Motown 25 show, the one where Michael did his famous moonwalk for the first time.

My favorite by him is "Stand and Deliver". Kind of wild-sounding, with the drums and everything, lol.

My first hero. The first album I ever bought was Kings of the Wild Frontier by Adam and the Ants back in 1980. I was 5. Met him in a club a few years ago and shared a cab with him 😋

I think you can understand now why a lot of us want time machines so we can go back. Sometimes, I wish I had a time bus so I can take you reactor kids on a field trip. I don't know if it's worse or better to not know what you were missing. The 80s were the salad days of being a fan.

I think we all should stand to attention to his fashion choices back then. You could lift them forward 40yrs and still be in fashion. Because he was so far ahead it was insane. You didn't have low wasted pants on Women let alone men back then. You can see through music and movies how his style has played a part. Not to mention his music is brilliant.

Adam Ant sold out for this catchy pop tune. It intro'd him to a wide audience with no real follow up. To think that INXS opened for Adam is hard to believe and Adam wasn't too pleased either. Shortly after the tour started he treated them bad. Jealous I guess.
