He is learned to sing falsetto! That is not his normal voice! They are brothers , the one in the middle is Barry and the one on his right, Robin and the one on the left , Maurice are twins! This was them in the recording studio! They have written over 1000 songs! They started their singing career in Australia in 1958! They are are amazing and I was teen when I first heard them! Their talent is unmatched! Only Barry the eldest of the 3 is still alive! He will be 78 this coming September ( 2024 )! They also had a younger brother Named Andy Gibb who had a solo career! Listen to Shadow Dancing if you want to hear his great voice, Andy died in 1988!

As a black female in her mid 50's, this is the kind of music I listened to in my 20's and 30's. Easy listening. This is music. To me, today's music is simply noise with no real message; full of satanic and subliminal messages. It would be nice to see what you'll were seeing (although I knew what you'll were seeing).

Barry Gibb followed in the footsteps of so many 60s and 70s r& b artists who sang in the high falsetto. Think Smokey Robinson, Earth Wind & Fire's Phillip James Bailey, Blue Magic's Keith Beaton & 50s singer Frankie Valli... falsetto leads were popular! To hear lower range Barry listen to pre-disco Nights on Broadway, Winds of Change and 1960s Barry soulful Tomorrow, Tomorrow performed with horns, cello, and defiant shouts, but without Robin ( Robin left for 15 months in 1969-70 to go solo.) 5 decades of the BeeGees and 22 Studio albums - so many songs to discover. Loved your reaction!❤

You know them or at least their songs, you just don’t realize it!😁 They have written over 1000 songs, even for other artists. Theirs were #1’s world wide and so did the songs other artists sang. The list of songs and hits is long. They have had #1 hits in 4 decades. Ever heard of Disco ! They were the defining group for that era- Staying Alive, Jive Talkin, Night Fever, How Deep is your Love, You Should be Dancing, Nights on Broadway, etc…. They are brothers and that is why their voices blend so well to create that sound of one person. Today, Barry is the only living sibling and he still performs. Gail

I was a teenager in the 70s and there were plenty of talented original high pitched voice singers back then along with Barry Gibb. The Delfonics, stylistics, Smokey Robinson,Eddie Kendricks just to name a few. Every band played their own instruments and sang with original voices.no auto tune back then just pure talent. My best years were the 70s.

Notice there is only one microphone and no auto tune. They can actually SING!! This song came out in ❤1978. Barry is the lead and Robin (hands on hips) and Maurice are his twin brothers. They have been singing together since the late 1950's. Music today can't hold a candle to music from the past.

A little background. Barry Gibb (middle) September 1, 1946. He and his wife Linda have been married for 53 years. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren. Robin (on our left) and Maurice (on our right) were fraternal twins. Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) survived by wife and 2 adult children. Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) survived by wife and 4 adult children. Andy Gibb (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) He was too young to sing with his brothers. He had his own successful career. He and Barry could have been identical twins. They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for other artists. Barry didn't always sing in falsetto. They were asked if someone could sing falsetto on a song. Barry volunteered, and the rest is history. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs. There's so much to write about them. In your spare time, I think you'll like what they have contributed to the music industry. I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5DMq6l3l814rrssi=7p2Pbvfime9eHGc-&t=1 How Deep Is Your Love kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqHUop2LbNpoj8Usi=TJzrh9ns2v1rUvnH Spirits Having Flown kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYild6Oletd3ea8si=3mpRsV0a-kfCMDWX Shadow Dancing (Andy Gibb) kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZvCqnqPisSdi7csi=fgwTh0Si29Axvb7S Bodyguard kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKmYiap_gKimadEsi=ZR3i-vkS0bTbUsMd You Should Be Dancing (Andy is with them in this video: from the movie Saturday Night Fever) kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6bSY2x6hcuNaKcsi=XevU5_t8wV8gQCBS&t=1

I really love how in awe you were when hearing their voices. The Bee Gees were a favorite of mine in high school all those years ago. I think you should listen to their song "How do you mend a broken heart", then listen to Al Green's cover of their song. Both are beautiful! You probably have heard some songs by the Bee Gees, but you just didn't know who they were. I agree with another comment that you most likely heard Stayin' Alive before. Especially if you saw the movie Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta. They also wrote many songs for other artists like the theme song to the 1978 film “Grease,” performed by Frankie Valli, “Woman in Love” by Barbra Streisand, “Heartbreak”‘ by Dionne Warwick and “Islands in the Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.

Ok, you guys need to go down the Bee Gees rabbit hole a little bit. Yes, the Bee Gees were brothers. Barry Gibb, in the middle, and his fraternal twin brothers, Robin Gibb on the left, and Maurice (pronounced Morris) on the right. Barry was the oldest, but he's the only one alive today. But They started singing in falsetto really on their Mr. Natural album, adding it in the background, but really used it on Nights on Broadway when the producer, Arif Mardin, wanted a really urgenet, stident sound and asked if anyone could scream on pitch. Barry tried it, and discovered he could sing like this. I do recommend Nights on Broadway, studio version, to hear all of Barry's voices. He had at least three different types of lead vocals. He uses most of them in Nights. And you get to hear Robin's lead as well. Robin sings the line "well I had to follow you."

Three words for you: Saturday Night Fever. A movie from the seventies. The Bee Gees wrote most of the soundtrack and performed half the songs themselves. The movie starred John Travolta and is about the disco club scene. You probably have heard most of the soundtrack, but don't realize who was singing these songs or have listened to them all the way through. Definitely worth watching the movie and pulling up the soundtrack. You are about to go down a whole rabbit hole of greatness!

I humbly suggest that you watch the Bee Gees’ One Night Only (ONO) concerts. Start with the one in Las Vegas. And when you watch their ONO in South Africa, Argentina, and Sydney Australia… you will understand why the Bee Gees are the best in harmony. Yes, that’s Barry Gibb’s natural voice transformation talent. And when you hear his twin brothers Robin and Maurice in their solo, you will be hooked! Their favourite composition is “How Deep is your Love”. Then there’s “Words”, “Our Love: Don’t Give it all Away”, and “Massachusetts”. You will understand why the fans/ audience go wild! And fast songs? How about the soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever, you will be dancing for hours! Btw the Bee Gees composed all their songs. Their composition “Islands in the Stream” was popularized by Kenny Rogers. You will understand why the Bee Gees dominated the Soul genre of the music world from the 70s to the 2000s. Please I beg you to watch their concerts. I miss Robin and his twin brother Maurice. Rest in peace, rest in pride ✝️💟 More power to Barry, the eldest and last man standing, the one who created his falsetto style. Barry was given the Kennedy Honors Award. How do you (man) come up with the idea of singing like that? They started as children, had a long, successful career, when their new producer for one of their new songs, nights on broadway, wanted a high-pitched scream at the end of the song and asked if anyone could try it, Barry tried it, wondering about it Sounds came out and his falsetto voice was born. And since the fans liked it, they wrote some (of their 1000+ songs) for falsetto voice, simple as that!

We just have to appreciate it that it affected her that much.😮 I understand your frustration but you have to understand how crazy it sounds to her too. We love the song so much we want to hear it too ... And we like the brain farts and mind-blown expressions as well. It just really hit her hard. We have to understand how much it connected and affected and that she had to pause for real reasons.

Pop) More than a woman (Disco/R&B) Love you inside out (Funk/pop) To love somebody (R&B) Massachusetts (pop/country) Alone (pop) Love So Right (R&B) Lonely Days (pop) You Win Again (pop) Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B) Kiss of Life (rock) Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country) Bodyguard (R&B) The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor) Some that only the avid Bee Gee fans might know that you might want to react to: My Lover’s Prayer (pop ballard) Letting Go (pop ballard) Subway (R&B) You Stepped Into My life (Funk/r&b) Children of the World (pop) Search, Find (pop or R&B) Songs written by Barry Gibb (that other artists sung), alone or with his brothers (Robin &!Maurice Gibb): If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman) Woman in Love ( Barbra Streisand). In fact, Gibb wrote every song on her Guilty CD, and did 2 duets with her. And he did most of the background vocals on a lot of the songs. Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Partons). In fact, Barry wrote all the songs on Kenny's "Eyes that See in the Dark" CD Heartbreaker (Deion Warwick). In fact, Barry wrote every song on this CD too. The Bee Gees also did the Background vocals. Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) and yes, Barry wrote all the songs on this CD too. Barry also did the background vocals. Immortality (Celine Dion) The Bee Gees also sung background. More Than a Woman (Tavares) Love Me (Yvonne Elliman) Come on Over (Olivia Newton John) Emotions (Samantha Sang, with a lot of background vocals with Barry). Destiny's Child also recorded it. Grease--from the movie (Frankie Valli) Heart Beating in Time (Leo Sayer) Let me wake up in your arms (Lulu), who use to be married to Maurice Gibb A lot of Andy Gibb songs (Shadow Dancing, Everlasting Love, Love is Thicker than Water, Our Love, Don't Throw It Away; Desire;)

You need to listen to all of there songs. These are 3 brothers and have a vocal range you will never hear again. Listen to tragedy…you can see a differ t (lower ) range. This songs profits all went to UNICEF (over 1a million as of 2009). They sang and wrote all their own music. This was done live - no autotune, etc. back on those days!

The Bee gees the only band to have written produced and sang 6 consecutive No1 hits in a row between 1977-79 , the album Saturday Night Fever was at the time the best selling album ever in history, until Michael Jackson brought out his album Thriller, and Jackson commented that his inspiration for Thriller came from the Bee Gees, the three bee gees brothers always considered themselves first and foremost songwriters before being vocalists, they had written for many famous artists including, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, Barbara Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Frankie Valli, also for films such as Saturday Night Fever starring the Hollywood actor John Travolta, and the film Grease also starring John Travolta, there are to many artists to mention that the brothers have written for, Bee gees born on the Ise Of Man of the coast of Britain 🇬🇧, The guys were so diverse over 6 decades and have sold over 250 million records worldwide, they have a huge catalog of songs, great reaction thanks 🙏
