Michael Kiske the lead singer was 18 when he recorded this. Ive seen Helloween live twice, 2018 and 2023 both in Chicago. Absolutely phenomenal live.

@@jacquelinevanbierk his voice had gained additional nuances in the lower register but they basically play most of their old songs in their original keys. So yeah, he’s a very capable and talented singer. Handsome as well. He was kicked out in 1993 because there were tensions in between the band members and another dude came along. However, Kiske and the former guitar player rejoined the band in 2016-17, so now they are a 7 member band with 2 vocalists and 3 guitar players… So yeah, they are stronger than ever, basically they don’t have a weak album, and when you see them live, they look and sound larger than life. This particular song is even more amazing live

@@jacquelinevanbierk Their other vocalist is Andi Deris - different type of singer, more aggressive and traditionally metallic, so the albums that are with Andi that came after 1994, are generally heavier and punchier but now that Kiske is also in the band, they … well, they complement each other on stage amazingly. If you’re curious to know this band, check out their latest self titled album “Helloween”(2021), and have a blast. It’s a great way to start. Not many established bands that have been around for more than 30 years can say that their crowning achievement in being released in present tense Amazing band, amazing music

This song and the album that goes with it become the blueprint of European power metal. Bands like Dragonforce or Blind Guardian wouldn't exist without Helloween. Here you can already hear the symphonic metal that would emerge from this subgenre 10 years later. US power metal consists of bands with different styles.

@@jacquelinevanbierk They were well on their way there. But a label change led to legal disputes and blocked the band. As a result, one of the songwriters (Hansen) left the band and later they fell out with the vocalist (Kiske). When Deris took the mic the band was exhausted. As a manager and songwriter, he manages to rebuild the band over the next few years. But the scene had not forgotten the two Keeper albums. The album after the reunion became their most successful ever and reached number 1 in the German album charts.

one of the most influential metal-bands of the 80s extremely underrated, because after their legendary "keeper of the seven keys" albums the were involved in problems with name rights for quite some time... they brought me into metal... edit: they have shorter more catchy songs too... those long ones, are not their standard.... and they still perform on that level theese days...

Liebe Grüße aus Düren mal wieder. Danke, you saved my day... endlich ma wieder Helloween an Halloween. Thank you very much. Is ne deutsche Band, gegründet 1984 in Hamburg...und immer noch auf Tour. Mit derzeit allen drei Sänger. Der erste war Kai Hansen, der auch einer der Gitarristen ist. Dann kam Michael Kiske dazu, den du gerade gehört hast. Er, wie auch Kai, verließ die band. Dafür kam Andi Deres als neuer Sänger. Viele Jahre später, so 2016/2017 kamen alle nochmal zusammen und gingen als 'Pumkins United' auf Riesentour. 3 guitars, 3 singer..echt abgefahren. Live einer der unterhaltsamsten und lustigsten Bands ever. So, stay safe & Happy Halloween 🎃

Als sie im Tourbus anfingen über neue Lieder zu diskutieren war klar, dass es nicht bei dieser Tour bleiben würde. You're missing out on some spectacular Diana Ankudinova drops lately. Baikal from a motion picture is a tribal, cinematic, atmospheric high dollar music video with scenes from the movie cut in. In My Huge City is a masterpiece of soul and smokey smooth. Diana wrote both. Please explore them, I know you will love them both

I have noticed that 80% of the bands, that I like and I have already seen live, are in your playlist. A band who is still missing is Powerwolf. A German power metal band that also has their own special style that I can imagine you might like as well. Join them and us for the holy metal mass! For example Armata Strigoi, Beast Of Gévaudan, We drink your blood, Stossgebet, Amen and Atttack, Where The Wild Wolves Have Gone , Dancing with the dead, etc.

Not my Cup of Tea, i buyed the First Album Walls of Jericho, not a Fan of high pitched male Popsinger in Metall. We were 1987 at the Monsters of Rock Open Air in Nürnberg, as Halloween joined the Stage, we startet playing Poker in a Corner. The Music ist awesome, but cant listen to the voice.
