Sorry my comment is late.They got into the mindset of the characters they portrayed in the movie. Bradley Cooper worked on deepening his voice to sound like Sam Elliott. As Sam played the older brother in the movie. Lady Gaga, changed the way she sung also, to really evolve into her character. Finally, we were presented, imho, a chance to see the characters again for the audience.
