45:28 "soft, I scream" 💙 At the time of release this album was received very well. It was on many of the best albums of the year lists, and it quickly became a fan favorite. Every one of her albums is so different yet still so very Lana. Her sound is just very distinguishable and uniquely hers. No matter what she puts out, you can pretty much instantly recognize her music. She has so many little things that she does that carries in between every album. I know opinions are like assholes and everybody's got one, but Lana's artistry really is the best. She tops every list i can come up with when it comes to her sound. I love all kinds of music. The only sound i really don't enjoy is country twang. Now Lana can release her country album, Lasso, and I'm gonna love it. She doesn't have that southern twang to her voice that makes me wanna vomit 🤢😅

Lana is precious, she has been through a lot of bad things, both in relationships and in family life, when you listen to blue banisters and ocean blvd you will understand a lot of things, for me these are The albums where she opened up the most to us, especially Ocean Blvd, which has heavier stuff. (I don't know if it's possible, but could you activate subtitles on Lana's next content 🙏🏼😂)

Honeymoon is a combination of dark sad beautiful and romantic at the same time, idk how she does it. The ending “dreaming away your life” gives me goosebumps. I could listen to her say that part over and over for like an hour.

I didn't comment on the previous reactions, but I'm gonna comment here. Just a little sidenote first, I'm still halfway through it, so I'm unaware of any comments you may have made after Freak. I always picture two types of music listeners: there's the most common one - the bystander - the one who listens and appreciates, but do not let the music take command; and then there's the other one - the immersed. From the second the first note plays, the immersed focus completely on the music, actually getting lost by it. The immersed appreciates the drama, the subtle changes, the breathing. Honeymoon is not made to the bystander. The album is way too slow and sounds kinda flat if you don't immerse yourself. However, to the immersed ones, this album is a full journey. A very elegant, sophisticated one, where acoustic piano, synths, and lots of singing layers make up an experience. It's not something to listen to while studying or doing anything that requires focus.
@JayCluess2 ай бұрын
Well said! I don't want to spoil the rest of the video, but I was wondering how people would enjoy this particular video because I am a person who tends to lean on the immersed side

really love your lana del rey reaction, by the way she spoke italian in Salvatore cause when she made that album she was dating an italian guy , she was in love and wanted a commitment from him but he didn’t, turns out he cheated on her and then got married next even tho he told her he wasn’t ready for marriage. So the theme honeymoon and drama really sticks to the album.

I've been a fan of Lana since 2013. Before Norman Rockwell ( the album) all her albums sounded completely different from each other. I became a fan of hers through born to die and then when ultraviolence came out, I didn't like it because it was sooo different, but then when I started loving it honeymoon came out and I didn't like it because it was so different too and then the same with lust for life😂. But I really wish I could go back and appreciate each album and each era, because they are all very unique and unfortunately Lana will never make again an album like ultraviolence or honeymoon, and maybe that's a good thing because that's what makes those albums so special. ❤️

so happy to see ur account growth! i knew the amount of lana fans would instantly sub like me was gonna b crazy. i luv the ethereal dreaminess/jazziness of honeymoon sm. terrence loves you is a reference to david bowie's brother who unfortunately committed suicide im pretty sure, terrence was david's brothers name. high by the beach is ab lana's frustration w the lack of privacy that comes w fame, and her annoyance w constant paparazzi and media in her business all the time, it's more represented in the music video. on ur own time there's a natural transition between freak and art deco if u let it play out, def listen to that!! salvatore is italian inspired lol. "soft ice cream" sounds like soft i scream, which i think is cool. the blackest day is a masterpiece, i think it goes through the stages of heartbreak in each verse.the daughter thing on twitter was fake that wasn't lana's husband's daughter, but yeah they r married. cant wait for lust for life!! im also excited for the live performances reactions and her unreleased music bc some of her unreleased is genuinely some of my favs from her

-Thank you so much for reacting to this wonderful, great, true artist (Lana Del Rey), so authentic, so unique, with her own unique style, her life made into art, as Lana said she would do with her art. -With her beautiful authenticity, with her beautiful poetic writing (She's a beautiful songwriter/she's a beautiful writer), Lana Del Rey: "I'm a writer first, singer second" , and with her beautiful unique classical style voice, turning her art/ life, into a true work of art, as she herself said. -The wonderful human beings who really know and appreciate true music, loves her, respect her and appreciates Lana so much(Fans around the world, the music industry, the artists in the industry who respect her and are influenced by her, mainly by her debut album, the debut album by which the world met Lana Del Rey, and the type of artist/person that she is), like she deserves for being who she is, for being this type of artist that she is today, and since always, Inside a current music industry with music so superficial, so empty, so equalizing and so commercial, without so much authenticity.

-About her and her music: Elizabeth Woolridge Grant (born June 21, 1985), known professionally as Lana Del Rey, is an American singer and songwriter. Her music is noted for its cinematic quality and exploration of tragic romance, glamour, and melancholia, with frequent references to pop culture and 1950s-1970s Americana. Her vintage Hollywood glamour aesthetic is showcased in her music videos. She is the recipient of various accolades, including an MTV Video Music Award, three MTV Europe Music Awards, two Brit Awards, two Billboard Women in Music awards and a Satellite Award, in addition to nominations for eleven Grammy Awards and a Golden Globe Award Variety honored her at their Hitmakers Awards for being "one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 21st century". In 2023, Rolling Stone placed Del Rey on their list of the "200 Greatest Singers of All Time", while their sister publication Rolling Stone UK named her as "The Greatest American Songwriter of the 21st century". .............. Raised in upstate New York, Del Rey moved to New York City in 2005 to pursue a music career. After numerous projects, including her self-titled debut studio album (2010), Del Rey's breakthrough came in 2011 with the viral success of her single "Video Games"; she subsequently signed a recording contract with Polydor and Interscope.[6] She achieved critical and commercial success with her debut major-label album, Born to Die (2012), which contained the sleeper hit "Summertime Sadness". Born To Die became her first of six number-one albums in the UK, and also topped various national charts around the world. Del Rey's third album, Ultraviolence (2014), featured greater use of guitar-driven instrumentation and debuted atop the U.S. Billboard 200.

A lot of the themes and inspiration for honeymoon was, Lana hating the fact that she thought the fame and success from being a celebrity was gonna be beautiful and glamorous which it js but it also has its flaws like the paparazzi harassing her that’s what high by the beach talks about like all she wants to do is get high by the beach and not get bothered and also her in a way contemplating her music career with swan song which swan songs means the last song that someone does. But overall the themes of this album is the dark parts of fame. Love and heartbreak and self reflection.
