R.I.P Ann Waychoff mother of the Nightwish Army. June 28th, 2020 . Ann was a big Nightwish Fan. And every new person who listened to NW, she went through a little chat. And gave them some info about NW. This was her favorite song. And this song belongs to her. I like very much that Gabriel have continue Ann s work.... so her heritage is still here.

Such a great, epic song. Marko adds a lot to this song, not just playing the Bass, but dang he killed it with his singing! I love listening to this song....Tuomas is just a genius when it comes to composing....he takes you on a journey every time!

Until the Breakdown hits you with a 10 ton hammer it is all fun and games. But then the slow chugging monster with the machine gun riffing takes over. And for every Metal Head this lights up the day. Awesome….Imho one of the best songs ever. Sometimes the sky is piano black…. Floor Jansen, First of Her Name, Queen of the Valkyries and Stonehenge, Lady of Nightwish and Protector of our Metal Realm. Long may she reign. Bow, mortal !

It is based on the poem in 52 chapters, One for every week of the year, " Song of myself " by Walt Whitman(co-founder of US poetry) USA 1892 version. The extended studio version of this song has, at the end, a poem as a tribute to Whitman made by Tuomas, the keyboard player and the mastermind of nightwish. Most of these lines you can also see fast flahing on the ledscreen of this video. Bucle up, it goes very deep. One of my favorites. When it comes to musical transition and change-ups, Nightwish is masterful, but you haven’t seen anything yet. Wait till you get to Greatest Show on Earth. Hello again and thanks for another nice reaction. As you've noticed, they're very good at changing up song structures, so you'll never know what to expect next. There are plenty more songs of which this can be said. Somebody already pointed out that the album version also contains a spoken part (poem), which they didn't include in their live performances. Reading the poem is already wonderful, but it gets even better if you listen to it. The voices you hear are from Troy and also from some familymembers and friends of Tuomas and Marko. You can listen to it by simply using 'Song Of Myself poem' as your search term.

I like the way you switch split screens! The lighting, pyro and video-wall are done by Crewish, many have been doing it for years, synchronised. Don't try doing the "Windmills" at home :) "Rusty keys without a door" Jukka the drummer, wow. The drops at the end, woohoo!

The fan is there to keep Floor's makeup from melting. For that reason she stays close to it. Notice her commanding stage presence without walking swiftly back and forth from one side to the other. One of the best headbanging songs ever composed.

My No 2 Nightwish, partly due to the comexity but there are more complex ones ( wait until you get the The Greatest Show on Earth or The Poet and the Pendulum, my number 1). For more complexity, my No 3 and a Floor personal favourite, 7 Days to the Wolves from Wembley. For z more aggressive sound, Yours is an Empty Hope from Wembley.
