Serj has so many things going on, he's super varied, beautiful clean voice, powerful belt, he's got range and he's got a Frank Zappa quality of not being afraid to have comedic qualities in very serious music, it's hard to get bored listening to him!

Serj does the gargle thingy at the start and the chorus growls are Daron...check out the live-performance at Lowlands, imo it sounds almost as good as the studio version but Daron does some imrov changes which are hilarious while also vocally impressive.

Yea you basically got the point. It's about the prison industrial complex and mandatory minimum sentences are part of the problem as to why theres so many people incarcerated especially who have non violent drug offenses like addicts who actually need to be given treatment in rehabs instead of put in prison. Putting an addict in prison Is worse than just releasing them without even doing anything really cuz they can still easily get drugs in prison and also it almost always makes them become worse and repeat offenders except doing worse crimes when released. Like it can make someone become violent. It also makes it hard to get a job because your a felon. And you can't vote if your a felon either(if not in every state then almost all states) prison changes you whether you want it to or not. And not every addict is violent or steals to afford their addiction either and like I mentioned prison definitely doesnt detour anyone from using drugs or recovering from addiction. It does the exact opposite. It also mentions that over policing is also a major problem which is a long thing to get into so I'll save you and my fingers the time and annoyance of getting into that part

SoaD are definitely unique and very talented. I like them, but I can't listen to them all the time. I gotta be in the right mood to reach for one of their CDs.
