Ahh yes the Mama's and the Papa's I have always loved their harmonies, you should check out their song " Monday Monday" .........and I love that there's a toilet on the cover when for years they couldn't even show a toilet on TV shows and movies........crazy✌️

I suggest the following songs. Best vocalist - Floor Jansen with Nightwish, Ghost Love Score live Wacken 2013 Best guitarist - Randy Rhoads (RIP) with Ozzy Osborne, Mr Crowley Best bassist Cliff Burton (RIP) with Metallica, For Whom the Bell Tolls Best Drummer Neil Peart (RIP) with Rush, Tom Sawyer. While Black Sabbath created metal in the early 70s, Ronnie James Dio is considered The Godfather of Metal and is the most influential metal vocalist of all time. He was in the bands, Rainbow, Black Sabbath and Dio. Just pick any song from them. He was only with Black Sabbath for a few years and released two albums with them. I would suggest the song Heaven and Hell from Black Sabbath to hear the greatest song Ronnie James Dio wrote. Iron Maiden laid down the foundation of what would become 80s thrash metal and lead the second wave of the. British Invasion (the Beatles obviously leading the first one in the late 60s). I would suggest Hallowed Be Thy Name, which is considered the greatest hard rock/metal song. They along with Rush and Black Sabbath, directly influenced the band Metallica, the greatest selling metal band of all time. Greatest singer/songwriter. If you like the softer side of rock, I’d suggest Gordon Lightfoot, a Canadian National treasure. He is adored in Canada and pioneered the singer songwriter genre throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. One of the greatest musicians of all time. Check out the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, a true story about a boat that sank in Lake Superior. If you’d like to listen to the greatest band of all time, listen to Nightwish. I’ve already mentioned them, as they have the greatest vocalist of all time, Floor Jansen. Nightwish originated in Finland in 1997. They have gone through several lineup changes, most notably, the three lead vocalists. Their first vocalist, Tarja and their current vocalist, Floor, are considered two of the greatest female vocalists. While they didn’t originate the genre, Nightwish is the reason symphonic metal (like Evanescence) is what it is today. Symphonic Metal combines metal with orchestras and opera. The leader of the band is named Tuomas and is nicknamed Metal Mozart because of his skills at composing classical music fused with metal. In 2005, he fired Tarja from the band, his childhood friend. He received so much backlash and hate from the world that he decided to kill himself. It was when he was talking to his parents that they convinced him to not kill himself, so instead he wrote the song, The Poet and the Pendulum and he kills himself in that song. The song is divided into five parts and the final one, the lyrics come from the conversation he had with his parents that kept him from killing himself. I mention this because this is the greatest song of all time. I suggest you listen to the band a little bit and get to know them before you listen to this one. You’ll need a box of tissues. Enjoy.
