We have clear plastic cups in the U.S. too. Basically, the Solo company won the plastic cup wars and absolutely dominates the market share. They chose to make their cups red. Other brands seem to have chosen to focus on more "high-quality" (and higher priced) hard plastic disposable cups, rather than trying to compete with Solo directly.

That isn't Jimmy Fallon. That is Craig Ferguson and he was the former late late show host before James Corden. Craig is from Glasgow Scotland and is now a U.S. citizen and he is a stand up comic and actor. He played Mr. Wick in the T.V. series The Drew Carey Show.

Toby has quite a catalog of songs. Some are serious, some are poignant and many are hilarious. He is quite willing to have fun with his videos when called for. Check out As Good As I Once Was, Trailerhood, I Wanna Talk About Me, How Do You Like Me Now and I Love This Bar. Should Have Been A Cowboy was the first thing I heard/saw from Toby and I makes you remember being a kid and playing with the neighbor kids pretending to be cowboys/cowgirls. Then there is Courtesy Of The Red, White and Blue (The Angry American). That song sums up USA sentiment post 9/11.

Toby has a long history, and is currently recovering from stomach cancer. A very serious side of Toby as the person and songwriter is found in his song about Wayman Tisdale in "Cryin' For Me - Wayman's Song." Good friends, Wayman was an All-American basketball player at Oklahoma, Olympic gold-medalist, had a long NBA career, but loved being a jazz musician. Toby would often loan him his tour bus when he wasn't using it. This song is important to those of us in Oklahoma who knew Wayman and his family, especially in Tulsa as his dad was an icon in the church where Wayman grew up playing the bass guitar left-handed (sparking a bit of lyric in the song). Toby once was golfing with Clint Eastwood, who was having a birthday (88th) and starting his new movie "The Mule." Toby asked him how he keeps going and Clint told him he just gets up every day and doesn't let the Old Man in. Toby wrote that into a song, sent it to Clint, and it is the closing song in his movie "The Mule." FYI: Fanny Mac is a mortgage company that got in legal trouble for screwing over their customers. Although he didn't write this song, the songwriters are the ones on the guitars. Rumor has it that the taping took two days because it wasn't water in the cups. I always thought they were a staple for the whole world, but that just shows how uncultured I am. Nonetheless, the Red Solo Cup is basically at any function: birthday parties, bbq's, family reunions, hillbilly weddings, camping, school dances, office parties, church functions, fraternity parties and so forth. They do come in other colors, but the red seems to be the most used.

I enjoyed this reaction but I'm surprised you didn't know that that was not Jimmy Fallon, it was Craig Ferguson...the Scottish comedian. Lol. They were very good friends & still might be but Toby was on The Late Late Show with him many times. If you ever want a good laugh, check out when Robin Williams was on his show or Don Rickles. They were both on many times & it was always fun to watch. Back to Toby, he has some beautiful & sincere songs but "Crying For Me" is one of my all time favorites even though it still makes me tear up.

The solo cups did get popular in the 80s from kegger parties. You get the keg, tap and cups. Throw a kegger party everyone pays a dollar or 2 for the cup to pitch in on the keg of beer. They are usually sitting on top the keg and someone takes your 2 dollars and your good to drink all night. We always bought kegs in HS and afterwards to throw big house or field parties. You don't pour beer out of a bottle into them. It's weird that they are popular and don't know what it's for

Check out the acapella group Home Free. They're mostly country and mostly a cover band but each song that they cover they put their own twist on it and make it their own. Some they even do a better job on the original. If you're looking for patriotic songs, Home Free revamped the Lee Greenwod classic God Bless The USA and they sing it with Lee plus the US Air Force Singing Sergeants and the final take on the song will leave you breathless. Home Free is a completely acapella group and one of the guys, Adam Rupp, is the beat boxer and there's not a sound that he can't mimic and you get a good taste of Adam's talent in the song. But they're just a fantastic group and I think you'd enjoy them

He is completely new to me. Funny. So Good Choice, Good Reaction. The guy you thought was Jimmy Fallon at 2:02, 2:11 and on, was Craig Ferguson. Ferguson hosted "The Late Late Show" on CBS (2005-2014), in the time slot following David Letterman's show. Craig Ferguson is a Scottish comedian. Apparently, David Letterman's contract included control over the slot following his show, So Letterman was effectively Ferguson's boss, not CBS. I liked Ferguson. He was very quick witted, and a bit anarchic. He was the first chat show host I'd seen who _explicitly_ recognised most of the guests on chat shows are there to sell something (latest movie, or TV series). 'Cellebs' are usually contractually obligated to do it, and so must grind through every chat show advertising their studio production. Craig made fun of that. Ferguson also recognised a lot of the 'cellebs' were bored doing the advertising, and welcomed a bit of a change. He became known for his, sometimes outrageous, flirting. He also got the giggles so badly he couldn't stop. He started his show without a sidekick, I believe he thought it was too formulaic. He eventually cracked, but his sidekick was a remote controlled skeleton (Jeff), with a witty comedian voicing it. Best Wishes. ☮
