Welcome to my taste in music. From the rock of Xdinary Heroes to the rap heavy P1Harmony to the dance heavy ATEEZ. I love it all 😂 XDinary Heroes are something else. I love them so much. You don’t always expect a rock band to also have incredible vocals but…well. Here they are. A few the members trained to be kpop idols but JYP was like take these instruments you’re going to be in a rock band instead. So glad it happened too. I highly recommended checking out Happy Death Day, Haircut, Strawberry Cake, and Ghost at some point. Happy Death Day is their debut song. They came out strong and haven’t stopped.

I’m seriously soooo glad you brought them up before, this is so much my style of music lol. I love pop (K or otherwise) but nothing hits me harder than some great rock, in its many forms

So good enough actually was originally a poem written by the drummer, gunil, about his one sided love during college days! And young k helped him turn it into a song then boom it became a song! And for dear h, it stands for heroes and hope. The lead guitarist, junhan, wrote it about how xdinary HEROES gave him HOPE.

Wooo I love these guys! Their discography is incredible, so glad you enjoyed them as much as I have. They have so many good covers as well, definitely recommend checking some of those out. The covers to Drown and Impossible are good to start with. I remember seeing these guys debut and being absolutely blown away. They instantly captured my attention, that’s for sure. Also lives are a must for them! Their live vocals are absolutely insane. When I tell you they know how to sing, it literally gave me chills when I heard them for the first time. Their stage presence is soooo fun, love it when you can see artists enjoying themselves on stage. I totally agree with your comment on the styling. Like seeing idols make this type of music, it's just so cool and attractive! The "If you seek it, why owe you" line in Freakin Bad is so clever. Great way to sneak in a lil more spice than what's usually allowed haha. (If you missed it, it's spelling "f*** you" 🤣) So happy that you’re branching out to so many new groups! Your playlists are gonna be filled with so many new songs.

oh yes lives ABSOLUTELY are being watched, nothing like a full band goin crazy I’m super excited about it! I'm so curious what your thoughts will be if you enjoyed these songs so much! It's literally a completely different vibe. Welcome to being a Villain!! ❤❤ I personally really dislike ballads cause to me they all sound the same and they're boring to me. But XH's vocals are insane and I fell in love with Good Enough. Dear H. is more my style though, if I had to choose. More of a rock ballad lol haha Also I recommend literally all of their music. I can't even choose one cause they're all so good (though my personal favorite songs are Pirates, Crack in the Mirror, and Bicycle).

oh wow their comeback rollout is going on that’s wonderful timing!! I’ll definitely check it out at some point! I actually understand this 100%, ballads in most popular genres are super similar and it takes a lot to stand out for me too. I can’t wait to get into more of their music!

@@Strokiemane I think another reason Good Enough stuck with me is because the instrumental, especially the keyboards, sounds veeeeery Studio Ghibli. Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Whisper of the Heart, etc. That's something that made it unique. Much love and I'll wait patiently for more! ❤

Just throwing this out there, I think the best k-pop/rock fusion I've seen out there other then Xdinary Heroes would be Dreamcatcher. They are a girl group that has incorporated a rock sound to their music since the beginning. Maybe add them to your list to check out some time. My favourites from them are Vision, Scream and Boca at the moment, but I haven't deep dived into them yet, just listened to about 10 songs. I actually really enjoyed this as well. I had only heard maybe 2 songs from Xdinary Heroes before this, going to be adding all of these to my playlist.

ah I’ve heard of dreamcatcher before! I have a few online friends that are suuuper into them but I never payed them any attention, I might now tho! And yea, honestly I was pretty surprised how much I liked these songs

@@Strokiemane little fun tid bit of information that might sell this a little more, 2 members from Edenary are actually also on Dreamcatchers production team. Like I said I haven't deep dived them yet, but they have been at the top of my list to get into when I feel like I have the space in my life to fall in love with another group, because I know I will fall in love with them.
