Ateez has worked so hard all these years...i am late for this video but to be fair, my exams are going on... Anyways... I think Ateez has experimented with so many genres in their albums... The sound is always different bit also kinda same in a way idk how to explain...just we know immediately that it's an ateez song whenever it plays because the sound is so unique and so them... i love this cause i remember being here for YOUR entire journey into ateez and its like watching it again! (duh) lol i love watching people fall in love with ateez. he seems to really enjoy and appreciate every single song and really goes into small details so im defff very excited to see what he thinks as the albums progress and where their sound is more developed and etc. i know he will loveeeee them more and more as it goes on! this album is iconic such a solid debut~ loveee how you explained to him that they genuinely came from nothing and grew this far from nothing but hard work :') really adds a respect for them knowing that and seeing them now<3 yoo i also just realized im so excited for him to see jonghos solo song later LOL hes gonna dieee at those vocals! also love how he mentioned live performances cant wait for those too

That's relatable lmao. A while ago I promised someone I'd try to get into Ateez so had another friend sit through their whole discography with me in one go.

Actually Ateez starting as "pirates" was a joke among many other kpop fans for a long time. Now is cool but we still hear they are nugu and flop cause they made step by step, they didn't go big fast and to us fans was a journey but to other non fans they can't understand and kind of dismiss cause they didn't see them growing but now they are among bigger groups in term of numbers, concerts, sales but was along 6 years slowly. The first album was very on theme with sea, pirates, adventure but in terms of production is very different, I feel treasure is the one with better production among the songs in the first album, but as a debut is a good ep. They were still teens I think the light and joyfull b sides fit that moment for them, still love the songs, they are fun to listen to but yeah I when we compare to them now is so different but is only natural, I feel they grew with their songs, even in term of sounds and complexity. But I love that they still enjoy their older songs, they are so happy singing them now, they have memory feels nostalgic. They released a special video with My way to celebrate their concert in Morroccos was so pretty. Not sure if you see it. I think your brother was right in his comments.

oh i’m so excited for this series! especially i’m excited for how you will explain the lore to (perhaps? 👀 new people each video) your brother lol. i never can explain their lores to my friends who are also kpop fans but not ateez fans 😂 love how your brother is so open minded to listen to new sounds. love how non k-pop fans always have this expectation of how ateez will sound, but then got surprised at how different they are. love how he also doesn’t expect that a kpop group have good rappers like mingi and hongjoong bc thats how i was when i first discovered ateez, having grown up (literally, from middle school) listening to cringe kpop raps lol. thank you for introducing ateez to your brother, it’s so fun to watch. kinda wanna know how your brother will react when he knows mingi’s a huge fan of hip-hop (kendrick lamar too) too! 😆

just a fun fact that mingi has said that he was sick during the recording of this video. at first i couldn’t tell but i definitely noticed it when he started to sound a bit nasally in fever (not bad at all, it’s actually kinda fitting for his voice) and how he kept drinking water. i can’t imagine how scratchy his throat felt, my guy’s verses need a lot of power and tension 😂 this video is so good because i feel like it shows how great the rap line (i know, i’m biased as heck) work together, it showcases them a lot here. and san beside jongho is just beautiful, i love them even more. just one thing i don’t like is how little part yeosang and wooyoung got, since a lot are their older songs and we know how bad they got treated with small verses in the songs… i hope that kq gives them more time to show their vocals because they CAN sing and if kq utilises their vocals better, man that would be the end of me lol. my years-long question is also answered here as who were the ones doing the growl in pirate king, i knew they layered a few of their voices but it was still confusing. definitely didn’t think that mingi also did a part, because the growl sounds so much more like yunho’s, but once again ateez proved me wrong. that growl is so delicious to hear lol, raspiness of mingi, deeper tone of yunho’s, and idk who else but it’s a beautiful point in pirate king. talking about their visuals though, man wooyoung and mingi look ethereal like mythical creatures here, their hair look incredibly soft like wolves idk how to explain lol. jongho and san keep bias wrecking me too. and it’s so unique how different yunho and mingi look in physical build despite having more or less the same height. they’re soo beautiful!! you don’t have to say sorry for not rly liking work, because i honestly don’t like it as well 😂 to the point that i don’t put it in my playlist in my apple music, that’s a first for me bc all of ateez songs are in my playlist except for work. it sounds too boring for an ateez title track for me, and i won’t apologise for saying that. sometimes your faves released songs like work and that’s ok, people shouldn’t be upset at you for not liking what they like bc that’s just ridiculous lol. anyway sorry for this long ass comment i feel like i can relate to you being an atiny 😭 and as always, thank you for your videos again! was checking a week ago how you were doing and you hadn’t uploaded, so happy you came back with this!
