First Time Playing Jak & Daxter...

Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and Sly Cooper are the quintessential PS2 games for me. And I mean their series as a whole, at least their PS2 era games.

The Lurker Shark was my #1 video game fear as a child, after that was anything remotely bigger than me in Jaws Unleashed...I might have a fear of deep water in video games because deep ocean in movies don't phase me. Stuff like the Megalodons and the Krakens in Sea of Theives give me panic attacks, especially when my ship sinks and I'm in the water with it. Not to mention, Subnautica can screw me up as well.

Same. I was so scared of the Lurker Shark when I was a kid but thought I was safe from it until I went to the watery part of the game. The sound it makes when it spots you doesn't help.

My Nana got Jak and Daxter and Final Fantasy X for my brother an I for Christmas one year. Neither of us had even heard of these games before so, being from our Nana, who knew even less about video games than we did, we figured they were some bargain basement trash peddled on her by the local Gamestop/Best Buy employee. But, obviously whoever she asked for help must've really been looking out for us because we stumbled ass backwards into two of the greatest games of that generation. Thank you anonymous video game store employee, you will never be forgotten. Also shout out Nana for the awesome gift of course!

Jak and Daxter is by far my favorite game ever. I half-assed a run and 100%'d it in seven hours. I love you guys trying to bait him into swimming deeper into the water and him just kind of Knowing. It's so fun watching people experience it for the first time Also, when we first got this game, we simply could not beat the fishing game. We had to get our mom, who still does not like gaming at all, to do it because she was the only one with the needed hand eye coordination. Even now, yeah, I absolutely have to just take a break and then lock tf in and focus entirely on just not messing up

Heads up, the way this game accomplishes the "widescreen" it has on by default is by just cropping like half the game at the top and bottom. Personally, I'd suggest turning it off and playing in 4:3.

The Ratchet and Jak games are classics. I mean with those two studios alone you got Crash, Spyro, Jak, Ratchet, Uncharted, Resistance, Marvels SpiderMan, and The Last of US. Highly recommend playing the Crash/Spyro remasters and the Ratchet and Jak series for those who havent.

Oh MAN, what a surprise- and a _classic._ I feel like you're gonna enjoy Jak 2 & 3 _even more_ if you get to them after. The melee combat gets a _lot_ smoother, and you can chain moves together almost indefinitely. It just _feels_ better to play.

In case y'all don't figure it out in Ep2. (Cause I didn't remember y'all finding it this one. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong lol) Y'all can track the status of all the items in each region by pressing the right side of the Touch Pad. From the it's usually just automatically the Power Cells (which tell you the challenge, if you've attempted it.) But can be changed to the Scout Flies, and Power Cells. If I remember right.

There is a way to change the inverted camera. You need to go into "Graphic Options" and hold "UP" on the D Pad and click R3. When you close out the menu it should be normal

To activate subtitles i think you need to push options or touchpad during a cutscene. It also might be one of the symbol buttons
