Hello guys, welcome to my first ever video in this channel.
I dont really have any idea on what to upload, so i just came up with something random
also i did said "this game is harder than undertale" but please keep in mind it was just my opinion
(i dun wanna start a war ;-;)

Hmm can’t agree my jackass for a friend told me that imperishable night was the best so after stage 4 I realised wasting my bombs on stage 3 and 5 was a no can do or stage 6 would shove bullets into me and cuz of the way IN works (you switch attack patterns when you hold shift cuz of this it alternated in attacking their (idk what it’s called but it’s a ball that makes other balls) so I have to hold shift all the time yukari attacks in a way that me dodging is near impossible same for Alice martigold remila can barely attack without very high movement so I’m stuck with yuyuko and youmu problem is that they are slow as duck (wow you read til here?) so every stage is pain.

The first time I played Touhou it was also EoSD and I was instantly in love with the music and the beauty of Gensoukyou and danmaku patterns. But because of that I had a really hard time beating Meiling. To this day her colorful spell cards are among my top favorite.

Here's some Touhou tips for first-time players: * Focusing is a thing, and it can make you move slower for more precise movement. Use it. * Homing!Reimu is good for players who focus more on dodging than actually hitting the boss, while Needle!Reimu has a good damage/range balance. * Missile!Marisa is basically a stronger, faster, more precise Needle!Reimu, while Laser!Marisa has the most powerful bomb. * Other games also have different playable characters (typically, the last game's Stage 5 boss) with different shot types. * The difficulty is usually forgiving, but it spikes up starting from 4. * Stage 4 bosses tend to use different spellcards, or if the boss is a group (PCB, IN, DDC) they will have a different _character_ fight you. * Stage 5 bosses often have a gimmick to mess with you and make the fight even trickier. * Stage 6 bosses are _always_ immune to bombs on their final spellcard, but that shouldn't discourage you from deathbombing if you _really_ have to. * Using continues is fine, as it lets you learn how later stages will play out. Practice makes perfect!° * Many shots will, more often than not, be aimed at you. Dodging aimed bullets is as easy as inching to the side right before it hits you. * The playable characters have a very small hitbox, at 4 pixels for Reimu, and 5 pixels for everyone else. Sans is Platform battle with less slow flying red heart. Touhou never have any platform battle, only fast flying dodging bullets.

If you want to start playing Touhou, I highly recommend playing Imperishable Night first. It's by far the easiest in the series. Some games to stay away from in the beginning, however. Touhou 15: Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom, this game is infamous for it's difficulty, with the Stage 5 boss firing side-lasers and throwing moons, and final boss infamous for her simple-but-deadly attacks. Touhou 12: Undefined Fantastic Object, another game infamous for difficulty. If you play it like I do, then it's a game that basically gives out free lives, only to crush them all by late stage 4 and early stage 5. Also, curvy lasers. Touhou 11: Subterranean Animism, SA is infamous for having it's difficulty spike at Stage 3, meaning that the first two stages are relatively challenging for beginners (At least you get the wonderful theme known as Green-Eyed Jealousy out of it) only for you to be shit on by Yuugi.

When i first played this game (on Easy), i kept losing all of my continues to Sakuya... and now a few months later i beat her with only 1 continue wasted. (btw you can hold shift to slow down when you are avoiding patterns where if you move too much you might get hit)

IDK why but I find Patchouli's spell cards to be sorta capturable Also, a good strategy I use on Cirno's first nonspell is to move upwards and away from the 3 waves of triangles and then move under Cirno and stream the white bullets. Usually gets done in 2 rounds and not by time-out

I remember when I started playing Touhou around... uh... 5 or 4 months ago? I think so. I started with EoSD (like... everyone does?) I used to play this without focusing. 'Why did you do this?' Well... I always knew I could focus, but what I didn't know was that the *shift* button does that. Yes, I played this thing and I didn't know how to focus lol. After some time I realized that and I was like: "...oh you've gotta be kidding me." Since then, Touhou 6 became way... uh... less harder, and now I'm getting *really* close to beat Flandre (like... I lost with less than half of the Q.E.D. health bar remaining). ((quick edit: I DID IT AAAAAAAA--)) This video represents literally everyone in their first months of Touhou playing. (this comment is huge, sorry for that :v)

@@Glatier I am still fairly active, though it has been a while since I've last played EoSD specifically. This is what I can remember from the fight, so take it with a grain of salt- Something important to keep in mind is that the larger donut-shaped projectile's hitbox is actually a bit smaller than the sprite itself. The parts you should worry about the most are the colored and transparent areas towards the center -- the white borders should be safe. With that said, your main concern should be the kunai-shaped projectiles -- these can *really* catch you off-guard if you're not paying attention to them. Try sticking to the middle of the screen, as it filters the amount of projectiles you have to focus on. It also helps on dealing some extra damage. Maybe you can try staying a bit higher up vertically too, since it gives you some extra to work with, should you get walled (it also helps building confidence on your moves!)

This is called the hitbox and it doesn't appear on EoSD, however you can still slow down, just there is no hitbox visible.

Moriya Shrine's pretty reputable, so it's likely some kind of computer glitch or DirectX problem. I'll do some fishing around and see if I can figure out the problem. OH and I forgot to say, cool video!

I recommend Touhou 8. I know my comment is a bit late and a lot of other people have said the same thing, but it really is one of the better games to start with. For instance, you have a much larger window to use a bomb if you die than any other game (if I recall correctly). As a lunatic llayer, stay away from Touhou 15 and 11; they will destroy you. If Touhou 8 doesn't work out, try Touhou 10, Touhou 16, or any of the PC98 era games (1-5) besides Touhou 1, which plays differently than any of the other games. Hope this helps!

I have no idea if this is real...if it is, you're pretty good. When I first played touhou, I didn't make it nearly as far as this. Love the onscreen cursor the entire time btw. It adds class and character. Lastly, I don't think people give Sans enough credit. Sure, touhou is harder, but I've beaten touhou on lunatic and not sans. Of course, sans is a very different genre of combat.

sans isn't a "2 million bullets being launched at you" and is brutal soul parkour and you dont get any master sparks or shenanigans like that so if you cant do parkour for 10 minutes straight you're dead

How the heck did you make EoSD work? When I played it, I had to press the arrow buttons multiple times to select the choice I wanted because everything was too fast to select and even without bombing I don't really get to ever hear the full songs (I don't really have any problems with other Windows games though)

I think this is a common software issue and you can fix this with a program: moriyashrine.org/files/file/38-directx-8-to-9-converter/ the game is actually not supposed to be this fast.
