Even though there were 3 performers on that stage, Angelina was the star, and this was obvious by the audience's reaction to her, even Simon applauded when AJ hit the high notes.

Although this wasn't a judged performance for AGT-TC, it was the last time we saw her on the show. Angelina was removed from competition when she refused to sign a contract, that, if she won, she would be signed to an AGT affiliated label. Angelina also turned down an offer form Disney. Instead, later that year, she signed with republic Records. Republic gave her complete artistic control and control over her performances and videos. In Angelina's words, they shared the same vision for her music.

I've been watching this Barefoot Princess since Bohemian Rapshody and seen many of her others, BUT In my opinion this is probably the best ever performance with her vocals

It is indeed a wonderful combination of three artists and I agree that Angelina’s voice carries the whole but the other artists were amazing as well. This was her third performance apart from Bohemian Rhapsody and Yellow Brick Road. I’m glad you reacted to this version. There is also a version where the rehearsal audio is mixed in and you do not hear the audience reacting to the other artists. Some people find the audience distracting. However Angelina’s singing on this version is a level better than during the rehearsal. Also the audience adds to the whole magic of the performance :-)

@@pietersbart There are 2 other videos one by pa1189j , which is heavily edited with footage taken from other performances ie ( bohemian rhapsody) and includes the audio from the rehearsal. and the other video shows the performance of the rehearsal itself .personally I prefer this original live AGT CHAMPIONS Performance I prefer the interaction and excitement of a live audience, and the audio performance is imo better than the rehearsal audio .although I do like listening to all .

Hi Britt, I seen the rehearsal for the AGT performance. Angelina plays the Violin ,Piano, guitar and flute. So she was showing the little kid tricks to make it easier for him to perform, He really appreciated it to. Hes a humble guy and great violinist.

To follow Angelina Jordan since her youngest age in her videos or on stage as well as in her life as a child, a teenager and now as a young woman, is a happiness renewed every day. About her childhood I often think of this amazing video where she pouted and refused to sing with other unfortunate children to whom a music session was imposed indeed frightening. Cancer almost took Tyler a few years before this vid. Her put out a video of his journey in the hospital. He almost didn't make it. But just look at him now. Angilina has a vid of Tyler and She backstage rehearsing this song. That sand Artist is Amazing. Great reaction! 😎🇺🇲👍🌟💯

IMO one of AJ's most under-appreciated performances. Had she performed this song in the finals vs. Yellow Brick Road I think she would have won the competition (and I know there are a lot of politics involved in what she was allowed to sing). My problem with Yellow Brick is not that it wasn't a great performance -- it was stunning! -- but that it was another song from the 70's written by a white male legend (like Bohemian -- which I think was her best live performance) and followed the cadence of her rendition of Bohemian too closely. I think a shorter version of Someone You Loved, with piano and violin, would have been a much better choice, as (especially at the time) it seemed much more "modern."

Let us not forget that the producers choose the acts, the songs (off their list) and in this show the so-called 50 superfans who (supposedly) judged the performances. And if the superfans were the final arbiters, who loves bread (supersized) and circuses?

Before this AGT champions show even started filming it was obvious that A.J. was not going to win. AGT was in need of ratings and the producers knew that just having her participate was going to help them achieve that. Angelina,s uncle Michael has said that AGT agreed to her being on the show and not having to sign any agreement that would give AGT any control over her, so IMO they were never going to allow her to win because in their minds I am sure that they did not want to let this young girl dictate to them, it just served both parties interests to let her participate Angelina got huge exposure in the U.S. and AGT got the boost in ratings that they needed.

The 2 girls they show for a slit second after the first run of the violin, looked to me like, were the girl that was dancing with AJ in seventh heaven vid. The other looked like Norah Jones. Have to remember that Angelina opened Norah Jones Concert in Korea with I put a spell on you maybe a year or two before this performance. They do show both these girls a few times in this performance.

Although my main focal point is AJ the other two artists were great for their individual talents as well. I'm a huge AJ fan, but I'm sure she would also give credit where credit is due to other performers as well, because that is the type of selfless person she is and it is another thing I admire about her.

In the downside, it does not show Angelina at all, and some say that Angelina's vocals sound less engaged, as it was only a rehearsal. However, I prefer that version on my everyday playlist, as it has less audio distractions.

Great reactions Britt. Enjoying you and the journey more and more. Not enough focus on AJ in my view. SHE was driving the performance but had so few camera focus shots. You should know that at this point Simon had already reached out to sign her but was summarily turned down by the family as he wanted total control and they wouldn't have it. (My opinion is thats why she "lost"). I've also read that the first time Republic tried to sign her the same result. On the second go around, Republic relented and allowed AJ full control, thus the final signing. Open to corrections from any Angels if I mispoke.

i think as good as Angelina is here, the woman doing the sand art detracted from Angelinas vocals. the little boy playing the violin beat Angelina to make it to the top 5. Angelina was 6th. i thought it sucked, but after finding out they didnt allow her to even make the top 5 because she refused to sign a contract with the show turned me against this show once and for all.

Not true at all. This is merely a showcase leading up the final results announcement; the sand artist was a guest from the previous year. Angelina sang Goodbye Yellow Brick Road in the final and, if you subscribe to the idea that anything AGT is real, was sent home because of being pitted against the other most popular act (at least with the public) in a head-to-head elimination. My view is that they had little choice because having her lose out to anyone but Marcelito Pomoy would not have been credible.

AGT The Champions Finals aired February 10, 2020 - Angelina performed Yellow Brick Road. That gig with Tyler and Ksenia was a guest appearance of sorts, part of The Champions Results Finale Show (aired February 17th) and wasn't part of the "competition" at all, so she could hardly lose because of that. By the way, Ksenia was not a competitor at all, she took part in the first season (this was the second season).

She was having to sing around the multitude of applause that was erupting both for Tyler and the sand art lady, but I proved that she can work with the crowd and share the spotlight. She 100 percent blew it away. May I suggest the edited "fixed audio" version that includes vocals from the dress rehearsal, so that you don't have to hear her singing over and around the applause. The audio is much better on her mic.

I hate the noise of the crowd too, but when Angelina goes live in front of a big audience, she jumps a level above the rehearsal version. BTW Britt, Tylor was 12 in this, 1 year younger than Angelina.
