Nobody left the group, but Mingi was on hiatus for mental health reasons during Kingdom, so you missed out on seeing him then. Wonderland was Ateez's "To the World" performance with the big a** Kraken and Jongho's 4 octave high note. Inception was the song that IKON performed when the groups switched songs, and their version is very different from this as they changed the hook.

I think you get Yunho and Jongho mixed up, so Yunho is the super tall and lanky and the main dancer. He's usually dancing in the center for dance breaks or dance focal points along with San, but he has a really good voice too. I don't know how else to describe his voice other than like sweet and warm, but Yunho also just gives giant golden retriever energy 24/7. Jongho is "high notes guy" and you're familiar with his voice and face as soon as you see him, but to differentiate him from Yunho, he's a bit short but like very very muscular. Yunho is main dancer who is tall and kind of lanky and Jongho is main vocalist who's kind of short and buff.

Here some others MVs/songs to check : If you love balades " Turbulence " is a must to listen. Also " Mist " ! In a cute way of them you have " Wave " (which is completely at the oposite of that crazy powerful vibe they use to have) And then, the BASICS to know/watch : Fireworks, Guerrilla, Rocky, Thanxx, Answer, Don't Stop, Cyberpunk, Utopia, Eternal Sunshine, Treasure, The Black Cat Nero (which is a must if you ask me, slay 💅🏻) And you HAVE to check out " Pirate King " bc it's their debut song 😌🖤

A summary: ATEEZ has two 98 liners, one '00, and every one else is '99. Hongjoong is easy to pick out since he's a high tone rapper. I would describe him as a poet at heart--deep thinking and creative. Seonghwa is the oldest (center at the end of Wonderland, dark hair with gloves in Inception, collar bones in DejaVu, and platinum blonde in Halazia). He's a vocalist with great range and an expressive performer. He's also one of the sweetest, most gentle people on the planet. Yunho is another vocalist with great range. He's also a main dancer. He had blonde hair with a dark undercut in Wonderland, peachish pink hair in Inception, dark hair with red highlights in DejaVu, and brownish hair in Halazia. You mentioned that he had a nice voice during one of the scenes where he's sitting in the broken hour glass. He's a bright and energetic person. Yeosang sings with a deep and textured voice; he was in the tunnel in Wonderland, had a blonde mullet in Inception, held the butterfly (and showed his abs in the live performances) in DejaVu, and wore chains in Halazia (from his voice you thought he was Mingi). He's the most quiet member. The others describe him as innocent, but he has a savage side. He and Wooyoung started as trainees together at Bighit. San stood in flowers for Wonderland, had a dark mullet in Inception, super short hair in DejaVu, and pulled the ball down in Halazia. San also loves Kai and is one of the best performers in the fourth gen. He's is very much a protector. Mingi is the deep voiced rapper. He's also just shorter than Yunho at 6ft and a main dancer as well. He naturally dances with a lot of swag. You already know Wooyoung. He's a main dancer, vocalist, and our little trouble maker, but he has a heart of gold. Jongho is often confused with Yunho, but Yunho is the tallest member and Jongho is most often belting. He's widely considered one of the best male vocalists in the 4th gen, but don't let that fool you; when he's not pacing himself to maintain his vocals, he's a standout dancer. He's the oldest in his family so he has a responsible vibe. An interesting fact you didn't catch is the ATEEZ is half introverts and half extraverts. E: Seonghwa, Yunho, Mingi, and Wooyoung I: Hongjoong, Yeosang, San, and Jongho They're known for being performance kings (I highly recommend the Halazia dance practice), but those of us in the fandom know they're have great vocals as well. As an added bonus, they don't like lip syncing.

SKZ and BTS are my ullt groups but omfg Ateez are like in my top 5 k-pop groups. So excited for your new journey. Jongho and his vocals got me into them but now I can't pick a favourite. Hongjoong's tone? chef's kiss San's power while dancing? chef's kiss Jongho's vocals? chef's kiss Yeosang's face? chef's kiss No, love all of them and everyone has something. It's really hard to pick. OT8 for life. I recommend checking out Answer MV and then Turbulence, Promise, Fever and Thank U (live performances of all of those songs on yb channel "it's live"). Trust me, it's worth it. Don't know if you are into pop-rock bands but one of my fav artists is The Rose. I would love if you could check them out someday. Songs: Phase Me, ILYSB cover live, Childhood, Sorry and Definition of ugly is :)

I really enjoyed your reactions and you're hilarious. I highly suggest an Ateez guide to help you knowing them better (and probably fall for them even more😂). I'm so happy that Seonghwa is among the ones that caught your attention because he is my bias along with San (also he is part of the "demon line", always along with San and Hongjoong, good luck sis😂) Little trivia, during Inception, towards the end, the high note were both Seonghwa and Jongho (the vocal king), the first part was Seonghwa and then Jongho continued it. Also you're mad right about them being a performance group, in fact they are known and praised among the best performers of 4th gen, they are often called performance kings.

Love your reaction! You chose 4 amazing songs for your first introduction to the group. And you are spot on, they are known for their live performance. Before debuting they were known as KQ Fellaz and their company actually sent them to Los Angeles as trainees to train at Millennium Dance Complex with world renowned hiphop choreographers. It is joked that the weakest dancer in Ateez could easily be the main dancer in any other group. A friend of mine pointed out that there are zero earth signs in Ateez and that's why they are the way they are lol They DO have a ballad title track, called Turbulence. If you're looking for other softer stuff i would also recommend Wave, Aurora, and Eternal Sunshine. It took me 2 years to finally settle on a bias, and even then it is 2 members. Seonghwa and San are my ultimate biases but I can't tell you how often I am attacked by the other members. For the longest time Hongjoong and Wooyoung were my main bias wreckers, but then after this last tour and I saw them 10 feet away from me, Mingi and Yeosang ATTACKED ME HARD. Also, I have to say: Answer, Halazia, Guerrilla, and The Real are their best songs, both objectively and subjectively. I also recommend Turbulence! It's very different from what they usually put out especially as a title track but it's definitely one of my favorite songs.

Fun fact about ateez and showing abs: they were performing at 2019 MAMA with a medley of wonderland and some other songs (like from bts and more) and towards the end of their performance Mingi showed his abs while dancing hard and everyone was shook 😂 it‘s worth watching the whole performance cause it‘s so good and they were still rookies back in 2019

Ateez are amazing performers. My bias is probably San, just love his expressive performance style and then Yeosang and Seonghwa are constantly wrecking. I'm a SKZ ult, but Ateez is a close second along with Oneus who you need to add to your list of groups to check out, they're so good! Really excited to discover some new groups along with you in this series too!

I am not an Atiny, but I have been listening to ATEEZ since debut and they are T-A-L-E-N-T-E-D. I think after Wonderland, which is one of my favourite title tracks of theirs (including the rest of the album), they transformed their sound into a more sexy/mature one. But with Halazia I definitely see a resemblance with their older stuff, and I love to see it. I do recommend you to check Hala Hala, you will love it. Their debut was amazing in my opinion, both Treasure and Pirate King are fabulous songs!

Hello Sara! I'm so glad that you are going to watch new groups as well! I'm so looking forward to that! Ateez is my third favorite group ( frist fave Stray Kids, second fave TXT= I'm looking forward to your reaction to them as well). Back to Ateez, they are a seriously really handsome group, and they are sooooo freaking talented! As you said they are amazing performer, their stage presence is something else! Their dancing, their voices, their facial expressions! They are just too good! My favorite song of them is Turbulance and you should totaly check it, the MV and the live performance! My bias is Hongjoon and my bias wrecker is Wooyoung!! One thing you should definately know is that Ateez has a pirate thim and Hongjoon is the capten/leader. Also there is a big ship in ateez "Woosan" aka Wooyoung and San ( they are exactly like Minsung), I love them together! San and Seonghwa are kings of stage presence, their facial expresions and their whole mood in live stages is just a work of art, they are insanly good!
