Might have missed it, but I havent seen anyone mention that the singer of ending 12 is actually the voice actor, Gakuto Kajiwara, for Asta (the Main character with the big sword). Whilst mainly a voice actor, he has composed and performed a small handful of songs for anime. On the voice acting side he stated that he became a voice actor after hearing Yuuki Kaji (eren from AOT) in an anime called Guilty crown. Just to say also, the above mentioned Guilty Crown also has phenomenal OP and EDs and a great OST by Hiroyuki Sawano that also did AOT (and a LOT more too) *went on a bit of a ramble with info there sorry aha*

@@GOTGames I also highly recommend you to check out Paradox Live. The cast has lots of great and high rated voice actors including Gakkun (the VA of Asta). It's not really an anime(yet) but it's a multimedia project and currently has 8 teams, four of which were added this year. It also has a game and anime in the making which will be coming out in 2023. The musics are all great and distinct from each other according to each group's aesthetic.

@@GOTGames possibly worth mentioning, that Guilty Crown isn't the most highly regarded anime. So I'm not sure how much traction you would get from checking it out (if you care about that). That said, basically everyone agrees that the soundtrack/music and the animation are great, even if the story lacks. If you DO check out the music though, there are some great songs outside of just the OPS and EDs

20:00 "Disability is my ability." when i heard that Verse for the first time i realized how great of a shounen mc Asta actually is, he doesnt get any bullshit asspull powers from nowhere, he's just a swordfighter who trains so he gets better at wielding his weapons. Be it yuno or an OP villain, he always fights Magic User's who got an huge advantage over him and we do always see him struggling but thats exactly why its so statisfying to see him beat his opponents with pure gains and experience, he uses every single ability a non Magic User can use to the fullest to get any advantage in a fight be it aura's, martial Arts, meditation or even dance styles. Asta always surpasses his limits.

Its just how i feel.

Don't worry about the school thing, quite a few anime do that with their endings. It doesn't mean said anime has anything to do with school. From what I have seen, it's more to show what type of characters they are, or would be if it was a school setting. Gintama does this pretty good in ending 16 | "Sayonara no sora"

I'd say Black Clover is a great anime, sure it's not groundbreaking or redefining the genre but what it does it does amazingly. One thing to mention is that the anime was aired weekly, so you might see the animation fall in some episodes. Still the story, music and characters more than make up for it and were able to take the show to success.

Black Clover is a great anime that's just unapologetically straightforward shonen (young-teenage boys into action) anime. Yeah there's a few curveballs here and a few amazing "It all finally makes sense!" moments in the plot, but you're mostly not going to see the insane shock moments and back-to-back twists and turns like with Attack on Titan. Overall it's more like a comfy show where you can smile throughout versus others where you're chasing the dramatic highs and lows. It's also worth noting that the anime was released week to week as opposed to shorter more compact seasons with breaks in between. So as a result there were a lot of points where the animation/art is a lot more stiff, also filler episodes/scenes where the anime invented stuff so the show wouldn't catch up with the ongoing story going on in the magazine. But the episodes where they went all out are absolutely incredible. Episode 100 immediately comes to mind, as well as the last dozen or so episodes. Also another thing is that a lot of people were initially turned off by the debuting japanese voice actor for Asta in episode 1 since it portrays him as a loud wide-eyed screaming kid and people mistakenly think that they're in for 170 episodes of their eardrums being screamed at. But his performance rapidly improves and the character matures and doesn't really scream much past the first few episodes. This is an anime where I would say the English voice over is a good entry point (Dragonball Z is another one since a lot of people find japanese Goku's voice strange at first) but once you get past the beginning it's well worth the roughness around the edges. For a lot of people their experience started as a guilty pleasure before slowly finding themselves charmed before getting hooked and then eventually sad that they've reached the last episode and eager for more. Which leads me into an Opening/Ending recommendation: Berserk (1997)! It's pretty much THE dark and gruesome anime/manga series and massively influential. The opening/ending...well i'll let you react but I promise it'll be a memorable one. Pretty much everyone who first wondered "what the hell is this?!" the first time they heard it eventually has it ingrained as part of their soul by the end of the series.

Ending 9 is my favourite, it shows Asta in a very human light It shows a very visceral hopeless feeling, and that deep down he still thinks his comrades and rivals still see him as 'less than' which the devil is using against him, and that underneath it all he's probably so tired- hence the frustrated scream and the line jinsei wa senjou da, which translates to life is a battlefield/war

The singer of ending 11, KAF, is a hidden gem of a singer, you absolutely have to check out some more of her songs, she is incredibly talented and has a really unique voice and singing style. She is a "VSinger" (basically like a VTuber but focused on mainly singing) from the record label Kamitsubaki Studio which has lots of other really great artists, like RIM, Harusaruhi, Isekaijoucho, Dustcell,... (the list goes on).

@@GOTGames I actually discovered her about 3-4 years ago because her voice reminded me of Minami, so I really wanted to check out more of her songs. That was around the time when she started on KZbin, when she was 14, which is insane for how good she already was at that age, so I think she is around 17 now, and for me personally she is up there with singers like Minami (my number 1) and ReoNa for my personal favorite artists. Since she is a VSinger, you will definitely not run out of songs, there is a huge amount to cover on her channel, including originals, covers, live performances, and collaborations, so I'm really looking forward to more.

For Opening 4: Sometimes artist like to put their characters in different clothing/settings. Tite Kubo (creator of Bleach) is well known for putting his characters who usually wear very traditional Japanese clothing in modern western fashions in his sketches and artwork. While Black Clover the series is a medieval Europe themed sort of show, Yuki Tabata just sometimes likes to put them in more modern clothes in sketches and such.

Ending 4 is my favorite Black Clover ending and one of my favorite anime songs of all time.. and as for the question about the school, you are right that the show is a fantasy setting and never takes place at a modern day school like that. It just seemed like an artistic/stylistic choice to show off the main girls of the show in a modern day school setting for some reason

I would say YES! Definitely watch it, black clover was my first anime ever and I absolutely loved it. It’s very underrated and that’s why a lot of people are gonna recommend other anime that they think is better when they’ve never seen it. Also season 3 will keep you on the edge of your seat!

A few animes I know that are based on games are Princess Connect Re:Dive, Kantai Collection (KanColle), Azur Lane, and soon NeiR: Automata in 2023. There are possibly a few more, more mainstream ones are Persona, Pokemon, and Danganronpa. Also a few recommendations if your interested in going down game ost music is honkai impact 3rd: regression, rubia, nightglow, and oracle; honkai's soundtracks are amazing in my personal opinion. The company that makes their music Hoyo-Mix makes amazing soundtracks in general.

I've recommended this singer a few times in some of your videos. The singer of Ending 11 (Answer) is KAF. She's a VSinger (much like Ado) under Kamitsubaki Studio. I recommend you give her songs a try like Devour the Past and Hissei Yo. Seriously, her and her group members in Virtual Witch Phenomenon needs more western youtuber attention. I'm disappointed at the lack of that. The last time I checked, it was only Izaya's Hub and one other youtuber who's done reactions to their songs, which is quite unfortunate. Afterall, Kamitsubaki Studio is partnering with a lot of media for their songs like anime songs, game OSTs (love their songs for Monark, especially Nihil and Ash), and even on Osu and Cytus. The rest of the world needs to hear more of them. It always warms my heart to see english comments on their videos, and even on live chats during their song premieres. Not to mention the high quality music videos (especially the 3d ones). What really got me into them was a random recommendation on my youtube feed about a year ago. It was Dennou, their first group song as VWP iirc. After that, i fell in love with their individual songs. KAF was like caffeine to me (get it? Kaffeine? Lol). I got addicted to her voice so quickly. Then it spread to the other members.

The anime is currently on hiatus. There's a movie that is in the works that's suppose to wrap up the current story. But it's currently unknown if the show will continue after that. The anime and manga were almost neck and neck while the anime was being made. So they choose to do a movie to end the current story but they have been working on more of the manga.

Black Clover goes from all fun and goofy to being really serious and dark for the latter half. Also, it does take place in a 'ye olde' style fantasy world with magic, demons, elves, and other mystical creatures. I strongly recommend the dub because it has an all-star cast of English voice actors, including the legendary Christopher Sabat. Anime endings are a lot more open ended and don't necessarily mirror the actual anime. An example of this that is commonly used by fantasy anime is by putting the characters in modern day settings and clothing, usually a school setting, while also making the fantasy elements into easter-eggs like keychains, bag logos, posters, phone screens, etc. "ReZero", "Sword Art Online", and "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" endings are missing. Videogame Themed Anime: Sword Art Online, Log Horizon, Accel World, Danganronpa (based on irl videogame), and others that I can't remember the name of. The anime with the best music would probably be... THAT'S HARD!!!... I guess the first anime to come to mind are "Sword Art Online", "The Seven Deadly Sins", and "Fairy Tail".

My favorite emotional scene in Black Clover is when 3 characters don't understand each other, one for speaking softly, another for saying this, this, this and another for speaking like that, heeeelllllooooo very slowly, but Asta understood them perfectly, then the gluttonous girl she came with her sheep and fed them after being furious because someone destroyed her garden, followed by that they go up to the house giant bull and move towards the city to defeat the elfos possessed wizards...so much emotion and drama (XDXDXDXD)

Black clover is a gem, it is like harry potter meets fantasy anime . Main character is basically a Muggle in a world where everyone is a wizard. But there's magical spell books called grimoires which act like wands in harry potter, each person has their chosen one. There's also demons and elves in the world

The reason people don't recommend black clover as much and they recommend other anime is because black clover is like a top 50 anime (in my book). Attack on titan is a top5 anime of all time. So you kinda understand why people recommend "better shows" first, they want you to watch the best first of every genre. Extra useless information about black clover: The first 20-30 episodes of black clover are "bad" voice character wise and animation wise. Those first 20-30 episodes are 5/10, from there on, black clover become a 8/10 and in the later parts is 9/10. So you kinda get a score of 8.13/10 on myanimelist (making black clover not a 'first recommendation' for new people, cuz those 30 episodes might make them quit anime in general)

Disclaimer: English is not my first language, so I'm sorry if my writing ends up a bit confusing. The thing with Black Clover is that it isn't as astounding as the other series you've been getting recommended, but just at the beginning. After a certain arc, it becomes absolutely awesome and a fan-favorite, but I have to admit it doesn't start all that good (it's not like it's bad, though). But yeah, the music is top tier, and you just can't have enough of its characters' dynamics. Also, it has pretty good fights. Btw, since it really isn't spoiler, I'll clarify: the two main characters are orphans who grew up together in the same orphanage (so yeah, brothers), and they have a very interesting friends/not toxic rivals relationship.

Contenders for next anime to watch, Full-metal alchemist brotherhood (God tier, action packed), Deathnote (great, pretty dark, horrible ending), Tokyo goul (very dark, super gory, season 3 is really hard to watch but if you make it through season 4 is worth it), blackclover (overall solid choice), Bleach (action packed, overall solid choice, kinda long), sword art online (you'll either like it or you won't), Darker than black (if you can find it, it absolutely slaps, definitely worth watching), Witch blade (18+, dark story, action packed), Gundam-Iron blooded orphans (action packed, mech-suit battle, lots of death), Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon (this one's not what it sounds like, funny, upbeat, great fight scenes, worth watching) Fairytail (another just fun one, good fight scenes, worth watching). There are so many good ones. Whatever you do, don't start Naruto or one piece, they are okay but they are way too long.... like you will never finish them.

As for anime's based on games: -A Devil May Cry anime (original story for anime, not adaptation of the game's story). -Tales of Symphonia (kind of an adaptation of the story with some stuff cut out as it was 11 episodes...a more faithful adaptation would've needed at least 26 episodes or so. Which is a shame as along with Symphonia being my favorite game in its series it's also my favorite game of all time too). -Tales of the Abyss (pretty much faithful adaptation of the game's story with only slight details changed here and there. Unlike Symphonia (games are in the same series, different world settings though...won't be the last one I mention either lol) it got 26 episodes which let it be more faithful to the game's story). -Tales of Eternia (was an anime original story and doesn't follow the game's events, however it's set in the middle of the party's journey in the game but never appears in the story/have any references to actually set up the anime's story in the game). -Tales of Zestiria (is somewhat faithful to the game's story in the first half but does it's own thing halfway through. Imo the anime's story is better than the game's (which most fans rank as the worst game of the series...justly so tbh...music is good in both game and anime though. Also has 2 episodes focused on the start of Tales of Berseria, another game in the series which is a prequel to Zestiria (and unlike Zestiria is ranked in the top 5 stories, personally it's the second best story in the series to me after Symphonia (game, not anime...anime cuts too much out))). -Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike (this is the last from the Tales series, unlike the other Tales mentioned this is a movie prequel to the game Tales of Vesperia...so if you're still looking for anime movies well I guess there's one for ya). -Valkyria Chronicles (pretty decent adaptation of the first game of the same name...does take a few liberties in the adaptation and has a few major changes to its story though. And quite frankly there's dozens upon dozens more but these are the first to come to mind as I enjoy them a bit more than other game anime adaptations...on top of rpgs (which all of these are) plenty are also based on Visual Novel games (such as Stein's Gate, Robotics Notes , Higarashi: When they Cry, Chaos Head, Danganronpa, and many many more (in fact I'd say as far as games go the games that get adaptations the most are visual novels) as well as some on fighting games such as Street Fighter or Blazeblue. Oh and I recommended it before but if you want to find video game openings that are just like anime openings the Tales series is your place to be as all are great (some games like Arise, Symphonia, and Xillia have more than 1 opening, would also recommend Japanse version as some US/Western ones don't have vocals and instruments only and in some cases just better songs...and in the case of Hearts and Innoncence I recommend the Japanese version of Tales of Hearts R and Tales of Innocence R on Vita over their Nintendo DS counterparts as the song and visuals are better (DS just uses the game's 3d CG and doesn't look that good for it). Also recommend only focusing on the main titles in 1 video (17 games total as of now) as if you include side games you get about 30 games/openings that are about 2 minutes each.

don't think i've every heard of overlord. no worries there is no school setting ( except maybe a couple episodes) btw this show has 2 main characters, as you've seen. Asta and Yuno... its funny that you say Nero while watching this anime xD well the guy you were talking about Asta. literally has no magic in a world where magic is EVERYTHING! so instead of training his magic, he simply spent all his time training his body. i mean the guy is jacked. nobody else can carry his sword, so yah he's magicless... btw ending 12 is actually sung by the main character in black clover. Asta!!!!! yeah asta's voice actor sings :P that GIANT SKELETON is a huge part of one of black clover's arc's. definitely one of the best arc's in anime!!

The tip of the iceberg on the story is asta the mc wants to become the wizard king despite not having magic. These are events on his path of becoming one. The clover thing is pretty interesting, in their kingdom the petals shows how strong you are they say "the petals means faith, hope & love and some rare cases a 4th means good luck and if there ever was a 5th there would be a demon" i love this show too much ❤️❤️❤️

10:05 I love you questioning stuff. Yes, this ending don't really fit overall theme of Black Clover. Still it has emotional sound that can relate to some character in that season/arc. But school definitely does not appear in Black Clover. Ending 5 somehow made me feel the best. But i have to admit i stopped watching Black Clover at episode 65 while it was airing. And after i watched reactor Dukaja until episode 110. So, i don't have the complete knowledge or passion for Black Clover series, but music is top stuff. Googling when you are really interested in some artist in middle of endings reaction is so cool to me. I see an interested reactor and it makes me feel ''This reactor is genuine''.

Yeah about the thing that u said with school it doesn't really makes sense XD bcs it's indeed an ancient times with magic anime , and yes definitely watch black clover after aot also at 31th March there's gonna be on release a black clover movie (non cannon btw , which means that it doesn't continues the story of the series or something) but yeah definitely watch black clover it's really nice cool anime , it's not as dark as Tokyo ghoul or death note but it has quite the darkness and also it has really perfect story with many plot twists and foreshadowing also and there's nothing random in this anime either everything that's happening inside is playing a role for later even the most common thing

Personally, I think Fairy Tail has the best soundtrack of any anime. All of the openings are fantastic (10, 15, 16 and 22 especially), the Dragon Force theme, and alot of the ending are really good too. Definitely my favourite anime soundtrack, without a doubt.
