Nigel, there is another video created recently by Seven Soulmates - "Jimin Defying Gravity/ Athleticism, Flexibility, Core Strength" . It has more clips not shown here, and the different angles of the acrobatics you've seen in this video. Very well done, I would recommend to watch and react whenever you want to simp over Jimin, lol:-) Jimin was probably born more flexible, but he has been working really hard at increasing and maintaining that natural flexibility. His previous training in the different kinds of martial arts and contemporary dance has required it. Also, he is using the proper technique, for example in the forward bend Jimin is actually hinging at his hips, not bending the lower back, while Suga, J-Hope and RM were visibly forcing the bend at the lower back. Even with the proper technique lack of flexibility would not allow bending the body in half from the start, but regular stretching, with the knees slightly flexed (bent) would help. Women are by nature more flexible, but Jimin is a perfect sample of the very flexible man, making everyone envious;-)

BTS can date. Their CEO wanted real boys and real artists. He wasn't over here dressing them up like dolls and locking them up in a doll house. They just keep their lives very private. Now there are companies out there that don't allow dating for a certain amount of years they are under contract, but from what I know BigHit aka Hybe was never one of them. Sure there was rules in place, they are public figures after all, but they are still allowed to live their lives. Considering the horror stories I've heard about certain other labels, it wasn't no joke for a lot of these idols. The gym is needed. They have to keep up with their stamina for obvious reasons. Singing and dancing at the same time doesn't happen over night. That was training. However, now they work out more for their enjoyment. Anyway, don't be shocked if one of these days, one of the guys come forward with a pregnant wife, because that's what's been happening with other idols lately. They just keep their family's under lock and key.

Loved the reaction as always. so at the beginning when you talked about your two biases and why some weren't happy about switching. To give you an idea Jimin is always on the receiving end of vicious and vile comments from haters who go after him because of his sweet nature. Naturally ARMY are very protective of him. He even had death threats. So when someone who is a firm Jimin bias switches from him to one of the other members, which is fine by me it just gives the haters more ammunition to target Jimin again. I do feel very protective of him and cant help that.He is just a kind and loving person who does not deserve the hate he gets. A lot of them hate the rest (or at least a part) of the other members, so seeing them being appreciated makes them unreasonably furious because to them, their fav is the only one they deem "worthy of receiving attention and praise". as for the flexibility thing i don’t really know but i know stretching is a huge part!! especially if you start from a young age, where most little kids can do the splits, but as they get older, they can’t. i know it also has to do with genetics, but i think most of it is stretching. don’t take my word on it tho idk much abt the human anatomy 😭 i’m flexible and i’ve always wondered why, i used to stretch everyday a couple years ago, but now i rarely ever do it. but i’m still really flexible. it’s weird

A lot of flexibility comes from training. I was a dancer and acrobat for 15 years and things like splits and bending over to wrap your arms around your calves are very basic warm-up stretches. Some flexibility is inherited though. I have hyper mobile joints due to lax tendons and ligaments (to the point that I can dislocate my shoulders on command and slide them back in place painlessly), so I’ve always been naturally flexible; but sometimes that can be an issue in itself. Having hyper mobility when you’re a dancer, gymnast, performer, etc. often means that you need even more muscle control over your body to maintain stability, avoid injuries, and make everything look clean and fluid. When practicing acrobatic tricks, I often had issues with things like back handsprings because my spine was too flexible. I would end up undercutting so badly that my hands would land almost directly where my feet started, which is dangerous. It took a lot of practice to learn how to control my back enough to do that trick safely. The flexibility was useful for contortion though; I got folded up into boxes a lot 🤣

Stretching makes your tendons more elastic. It’s like with muscles, you work them out and they grow bigger, with stretching you work the tendons and train them to be loose and elastic. Also all babies are naturally flexible, it’s just that as we get older most of us don’t stretch to keep that elasticity. Jimin was trained in modern contemporary dance so flexibility was a must.

dating for bts was never banned, the company never said anything about it and bts always kept their private lives away from the public. they even said that in an interview in 2016- them never being told not to date- but they mentioned that the nature of their work made it difficult for them to date but that’s all. and true they had a strict schedule in the training period before they debuted but that’s just about dance practice and singing and rapping sessions and stuff like that. however they have never mentioned that they /have/ to work out or something. they do it because they want to and when they want to. their company is not a crazy one with strict rules here and there about anything and everything. they do actually decide side to side with their company on EVERYTHING. they were never forced to do -or not do, in that sense- something.
