You're right about Elvis loving Lisa Marie. He was talking to a friend of his, a lady called Mrs. McComb. They were talking about Lisa Marie soon to be birthday. He asked her to write a poem for his daughter's birthday (4th I believe). He told her that he wanted something special that would tell her that she was his most prized possession and he wanted her to know what is the most important things are in life. She wrote a poem titled "The Priceless Gift". When Elvis read it, he had some tears to fall on the part where it was signed by Daddy.. He told her he ruined the copy and she told him those tear stains would be more priceless than the poem. Below is the poem he had written for his daughter. The Priceless Gift Birthdays are always special as your fourth one comes to you and I wondered what I'd give you Just anything wouldn't do. I thought of childish treasures to hang upon your wall Yet nothing seemed appropriate or none I could recall. Money seemed so cold and fleeting Bought treasures go so fast And I wanted a gift to please you And one that would also last. You know you're sort of special You are really all we've got You're Mama's bit of heaven And Daddy's tiny tot. I closed my eyes - the years rolled by And I slowly found my way To a shadowed corner in the attic T'was a link to my yesterday. I raised the lid to a frayed old trunk And there a priceless treasure lay A tattered apron with strings still tied And I knew I heard her say - 'Son, I'm now just a precious memory But don't ever forget one thing I always tried to guide your life With these worn out apron strings. They guided a man named Lincoln As he steered the ship of State It's the only gift I gave you That will never go out of date. Apron strings changed the course of History as great men felt their tug They followed sons onto battle fields Without the slightest shrug. They guided both kings and beggars Through harmony and strife Son, you surely must have felt their tug For how God has blessed your life. I bowed my head and said a prayer For I knew God had surely touched A tattered old trunk so tucked away And an apron that had meant so much'. So Lisa, I give you the 'Priceless Gift' That surpasses all other things A whole lifetime of love for you She tied in her apron strings. Daddy

Elvis was a great dad and Lisa said the only time she felt safe and loved was with him. Priscilla was a terrible mother and wouldn't allow Lisa to have photos of Elvis in their home after the divorce. She also stuck Lisa in a camp right after Elvis died to mourn him by herself, so Priscilla could fly off to Europe with her lover du jour. Then she stuck Lisa Marie in the Scientology prison for years, and discouraged her singing career. Jealous of her own daughter.
@amandarayray934010 ай бұрын
She certainly lacked the love and care she needed after her dad's passing. Priscilla and her son Navarone seemed to be so jealous of Lisa because she inherited the lot. I couldn't believe what I heard about her time in scientology, it seems like she was emotionally and mentally very abused by the cult as a vulnerable and impressionable teen. But they could never quite crush her spirit, and she eventually got out and got herself declared an SP. I can't wait to read her memoirs when it comes out later this year.

You need to listen to Lisa's duo with Elvis "Don't Cry Daddy" and yep you might cry... you really need to do a deep dive on Elvis... you are skirting around in his music but his story is one of immense success and terrible tragedy and certainly worth learning since he emerged as literally the most famous entertainer in the last couple hundred years... I'll repeat... watch 'Elvis', the movie which came out last year... a powerful, critically acclaimed review of parts of his life.. 8 academy award nominations including Best Picture and Best Actor (Austin Butler as Elvis)... he was phenomenal! Lisa Marie Presley had 3 Albums, my favorite was her third and last, Storm and Grace. In her 3 albums she wrote many songs- a few for Elvis, some for her kids, even one for her mom. BUT most of her songs were about the love of her life, Michael Jackson. Lisa Marie was married to Michael Jackson for almost 2 years, and had a 9 year relationship altogether with him. On Storm and Grace, she has 3 love songs for Michael Jackson. My favorite being Just A Dream. There are great fan videos of Lisa Marie and Michael Jackson that are so lovely of a couple so in love. Check them out, along with Lisa Marie's music. She was so talented!

Yep, that's the house she grew up in, and then Elvis' California homes, too. While GRACELAND is a huge tourist destination and if you love Elvis, you have to go. As it's really a home, and seems smaller than it is because you can't go through sections of it, as the left wing facing the house, is actually a large apartment. And then the whole right wing was always a part of the house and it while it might seem as if they made it a museum area after Elvis died, it was a lot like that when Elvis was alive as he kept his awards there and had the Hall of Gold, and the back end of it was the pool house. When you come in the front door, to the left is the dining room and then to the right the living room, with Elvis' music room holding his piano back behind that. And, if you look at the music room, today, you will see curtains covering it. But there's actually a door there, that Elvis would go through- taking him all the way through the right annex, out to the pool. Then, way out in the back of the yard, to the left, is actually like a little village with a small house and brick buildings where bodyguards and others would stay when visiting, etc. While Elvis' is bedroom is the top right window when looking at the house. The Guest House is a great hotel there, too, and then aside from the house is Presley Motors housing his Rolls Royces; stretch limos and all kinds of other cool things. From the standpoint of layout, I think it's one of the best museums in the country!

You picked up on something my girl. The producer who put this together with Lisa Marie singing with Elvis obviously after he died but, he stated during the harmony portions he couldn’t tell where one of them began because they were perfect harmony that he didn’t want to appear upset in front of Lisa Marie because she was emotional enough that he got goosebumps when they sang harmony because he couldn’t tell when was was starting and the other came in. He stated it was so unbelievable that they sang the identical harmony. She sang herself and had several albums. Thanks for this. There are others put together too and she was always able to seem like she was singing with her dad even though she was only 9 when he passed. And now she’s gone 3 years after losing her beloved 27 yr old son from suicide and was so devastated she was never quite the same. Now she’s gone one year on the 12th of this month. She has 3 daughters she left last year. Two 14/15 yr old twins and a 34 yr old daughter. The only grandkids left of Elvis. You’re right, their dynasty has had top of the world events & such sadness of those passing away at early ages in such tragedies. 😢❤❤❤

Thanks for honoring my request I believe this last duet was made in 2019. She had 3 gold albums, done in an edgy raw style, she wrote all her songs and didn't start really recording until she was almost 40 years old. She was reluctant to use the Presley name for her career. She lost Elvis when she was 9 and saw him dead on the bathroom floor. She loved and adored him and he was the same about her. She had a strained relationship with her mother who only six weeks after her birth started an affair with her married karate instructor, although Elvis was never truly faithful, he was totally blind sided but gave her everything she ask for in the divorce. She was intend on money and fame. She kept suing Elvis for more money right up till his death in 1977, when she demanded a huge amount of money, and put a lien on his beloved home of Graceland. He sold off his copyrights to meet her demands. She wrote an awful tell all after his death, presenting herself as a martyr and innocent. This past year director Sophia Coppola a known feminist director decided to make the movie based on the book written in 1985. Priscilla signed on to be executive producer. Lisa Marie pleaded with her mom and Coppola not to make the "Vengeful movie, that was wrong and deceiful", Lisa said " If you make this movie I will be forced to denounce it and be forced to tell my daughters that their Grandma wrote mean things about their grandfather that are not true. Sadly Lisa died January Last year at 54, and her mother went on with her plans. when Lisa died she left her estate to her daughter Riley and Priscilla immediately said the will was forced and she sued her own granddaughter to get back the estate. She even called in fellow Scientologist John Travolta to mediate for her. He got her a million to drop the lawsuit, 100 a year, and 1/9 of the Elvis estate for her son by another man. She is the pits. She continues to say she loved Elvis. I am her age, I saw it unfold, Elvis was no saint, but he didn't do all the stuff she claims, many that were around him, say she is lying. Thanks
