Ooh Britt, I love him the same way you do! I love watching you listen to him….. I was born in 1954 & my mother said she used to hop around the kitchen & that was when my love for him was born! 6 weeks before I was born he released “that’s all right Mama”. I travelled to Graceland in 2018 & I thought I’d died & gone to heaven. I kept thinking “OMG, I’m standing where Elvis stood”. Couldn’t wipe the smile from my face. I was with friends who were not as passionate about him that I am.. we stayed the whole day & they said me they could now understand my love! Thank you reacting so positively to his songs, you make such wonderful comments & I can help but sit here smiling widely! 🌹💕

And a lot more money to be able to see everything! It will easily cost you over $150.00 to just see certain things. Before they put up the resort and torn down Heartbreak Hotel, you paid to see everything! Now you pay for each place. You can’t even go into the stores or restaurants because they’ve gated them off unless you pay to go into that certain area. Elvis would be sick from the greed! Sad just SAD!!

Britt , I admire your love for Elvis , it is something we both have very much in common , although im a male and you a female so naturally our boundaries could vary had we have been in the mans life. Im writing to you because I believe you will appreciate information, truth about Elvis's short and most incredible life . My name is John, born 1963 in Sydney Australia. Whitney Houston's mother was in Elvis's band with 2 other African American woman and travelled extensively throughout the states touring with Elvis , concert after concert, they were The Sweet Inspirations. She was pregnant, carrying Whitney whilst she sang with Elvis. So Whitney got a good start in her singing career, hay Britt. JC.

As I said in your Angelina reaction to this song - many people can sing, but it takes more to be a unique artist. Elvis is one of the greatest entertainers ever (in addition to his vocal prowess, of course). And that's one of the low key performance in terms of playing with the crowd, there are some where it gets a lot wilder.

Gotta add, I've really appreciated your Elvis reactions. I'm 68, and when I came up, early 70's, in music at the time Elvis wasn't cool. I was all about The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and other hard rock groups at the time. But as I've gotten older I've come to appreciate Elvis's talent more and more! There is a reason he's called The King of Rock and Roll'.

Britt, Have you ever reacted to Ronnie McDowell's tribute song he wrote in Elvis's memory called "The King Is Gone" before? It came out shortly after EP's Death in 1977. Also Ronnie had a song called "I Love You, I Love You, I Love You". That came out shortly after that. There is a live version from late 1977 0r early 78 on KZbin. He is introduced by Crystal Gayle. I warn you, this song sounds like the greatest Elvis song that you never heard that Elvis never recorded, but I promise it will completely blow you away. Ronnie has one of the finest voices ever, in his own right with awesome range. He idolized Elvis. It's not that he is trying to sing like him, talk like him and his later recordings in the 80's he tried to distance himself from being pegged as an Elvis soundalike. He is not and never has been. Ronnie had many Top 10 Country hits in the 80's. However, when TV needed a voice for Elvis, a singing voice they routinely for years called on Ronnie. In at least 3 TV movies and the short lived series Elvis "The Early Years in 1990, that's Ronnie crooning Elvis songs. I think as time went on he didn't sound as much like Elvis as he did earlier in his career even when it was supposed to be Elvis singing. I think you will love "The King Is Gone" and "I Love You, I Love You, I Love You" for starters.
