Eminem helped me a lot through my battle with depression. His music has always been like therapy for me. When 'Beautiful' dropped I cried when I heard it for the first time as I could relate to everything he was saying. I'm so thankful to him and how he's managed to touch so many people's lives. I love him ♥️ He truly is one of the greatest rappers of all time 💯

And this is why eminem is the goat to me. He spits his soul, sometimes it comes across as vulgar or harsh but he's real. He's not rapping about fancy cars and jewelry, he's telling you stories. Great reaction.

I feel you. I went thru depression when I was 17 after a Xanax overdose. I was withdrawing and depression kicked in and man. I would juss cry and cry and felt alone. Didn’t run to nobody. All those “homeboys” I thought I had weren’t anywhere around. It really sucked. Only person I had was my mom. Now I’m 23. I overcame all that I have a wife and kids, so it gets better, you juss gotta be there to see it happen. And thinking about it. One of the biggest reason why I don’t have many friends now is because I pushed everyone away while I was recovering... to anyone out there that reads this and is goin thru depression. Juss stay positive, you may not have to go out and express your feelings but stay optimistic. That’s what helped me

Thank you for your reaction Favorite Homegirl. Your thoughts are heartfelt and warmly received. In addition to suffering the loss of his best friend, a wrecked marriage and his mother's dramas, Eminem was addicted to prescription pills and abusing them and alcohol and nearly died. He ended up going into rehab. While in rehab he wrote this song. So it comes from a very lonely place in his heart and probably when he was just beginning to find his recovery. It doesn't even have to be about drugs or alcohol. It can be about depression, losing everything or losing someone you love. All of us have an addiction to something. All of us have our times sorrow and struggle through the darkness. This song was raw emotion from Marshall. I thank him for sharing his heart with us and making the rest of the world feel a little bit brighter. "Don't let 'em say you ain't beautiful." :)

@@YoFavoriteHomegirl I try so hard to stay positive I've been dealing with it so long it feels like who I am and all my happiness is forced like it's a fake face it like it used to be overwhelming but it's underwhelming now this world has conditioned me for all the abuse life rests on my shoulders whether it's self harm or mentally abusing my self or if life emotionally torments me and I'm 17 but don't know if I have a purpose or if I'm just wasted space
