You have to understand the context of this performance. This was not just Emma doing her own thing. This was a "Sneak Preview" of the upcoming season of musicals in her country (Netherlands). Her selections were chosen from the upcoming musical "Disney In Concert', Disney controls the production and the songs have to be performed according to their standards. Of course Emma could have added her own personal flair if she was performing for herself, but she has to perform it as it will be performed in the 2025 show. She hasn't mentioned it yet but it's possible that she will be part of the cast when the show opens next year.

If you have to fight for your life every day again, you are not impressed by a 12.000 audience. Her confidence is her strength; she is in control. She has been on a world tour with Andre and sung for millions of people. The video of her performance in Maastricht had more than 60 million views. How much higher can she get ? A 16 year old girl singing the world round in 4 languages ?

Emma is still only 16 years old, she wont be 17 until March 12th 2025 I think with various videos where there is an attempt to 'rate a performance' it is important to differentiate the actual performance from other factors. So if the song is in an old building, say a church, then the acoustics may not be conducive to a great audio recording, the lighting may make the visuals less than perfect. In this specific case Emma is singing a Disney song in a Disney style; she will have no latitude to personalise the song. So fair enough if some of those external factors affect the product as the reactor sees it, but then the rating is of the video, not the artists performance as such, in my view there are a few features of the production I would change if I were the production director, nevertheless, for me, Emma's underlying performance here was sensational, 10 out of 10 from me.

I completely agree! It's essential to separate the performance from the surrounding factors like acoustics and lighting. Emma's rendition of the Disney song was impressive, especially considering her age and the constraints of the style. Despite some production choices that could be improved, her talent really shone through, and I’d give her a solid 10 out of 10 as well!

So, your assessment of this performance was based on what now? You don't believe Disney allowed Emma to give this performance a little juice with fancy trills and runs. Of course she could do that, but I just don't think it would have been appropriate in these circumstances. So, perhaps you are right as far as that goes. Nevertheless, I could not disagree with you more with respect to the overall performance. Emma was absolutely wonderful, and gave this performance exactly the verve and dynamism needed to play the part of a Disney Princess. She made the performance fun and engaging. She was clearly enjoying herself, and this is just the way she loves to perform. The audience was all in as well. 10 out of 10. A spectacular performance by Emma and all involved! Brava Emma!❤🌹

@@exeter1588 I saw Emma in Geleen in The Netherlands on Friday. I sat next to Steve Garry. It was a small venue maybe 1500 but sold out of course. You could choose whichever available seat there was so we were front of the queue like 12 year olds at a Taylor Swift concert 😀. We were front row centre about 10 feet from Emma. She sang 4 songs, Voila, Dancing on the Stars, Heal The World and Ein Bisschen Frieden. Emma was simply Wow! The 14 hours of travelling (7 there, 7 back) was totally worth it. As far as I could tell Emma looked well and strong so that’s good news. There were at least 4 members of André Rieu’s orchestra on show which I hadn’t expected. First up Serena Vanheuverswijn played a violin solo which was just so beautiful. Roger Diederen and his son Romano (brass players) were great too.
