If you ever watch any documentaries about him, you'll see him climbing the catwalks and hanging lights in preparation for his concerts. He runs all around the stage and he used to fly out over the audience in a harness - all while singing beautifully! Yes, he's a VERY physical performer!

He would do televised concerts, and on one of them he actually set the stage on fire. Of course, it was kind of controlled fire, but one of his songs called Standing Outside the Fire and so he had a controlled fire around the entire stage. Enter part of the song he sang within the fire and then nearest by the end of the stage he’s seeing outside the fire, so is it part of The story of his song. If I can find a clip I will attach it here.

Garth is pure entertainment and the hardest working musician on stage ever. He makes it impossible not to enjoy him. (FYI-“Rodeo” was also his song in addition to “The River”.) I was really impressed how well he impersonated the voices of other artists! Lol!

Garth took a break from his career when he was #1 to raise his 3 daughters. To say goodbye he gave a free concert in Central Park. He had Billy Joel and Don McClean in it to. It was broadcast live on TV and radio. It was packed. I surrounded myself with stereos and had those and the TV blasting.I warned my neighbors ahead of time. And told them they could call a swat team and I still wouldn't turn it down. Because that would probably be as close I ever would get to one of Garths concerts. It was wonderful ❤️

No he actually changed his name to Chris Gaines and went to Europe to play Rock.
@artchick2002

@@heathgreen9275 That's not true. He signed on to record the music for a movie about a fictional rock star named Chris Gaines, and put out an album of that music. He retired to raise his girls; moved back to Oklahoma. He did several charity concerts, and did his one man show at the Wynn from 2009-2014, and then came out of retirement with his world tour from 2014-2017, the stadium tour from 2018-2022, and will be starting his Vegas residency this year.

Chris Ledoux was the 1976 bare back bronc champion at the National Finals Rodeo, riding the bronc, Stormy Weather. He sold his tapes out of the back of his car at rodeo shows. He became famous because of Garth Brooks including the line "Worn out tapes of Chris Ledoux" in his song, "I'm Too Young to Feel this Damned Old." He went on to sell out major stadiums and Garth readily admits that he stole his style of concerts from Chris. The two were lifelong friends until Chris tragically died due to liver cancer. Chris' song, "This Cowboy's Hat" is a must listen, especially since you love story songs.

My favs: * Ain't Goin' Down 'Til The Sun Comes Up * Friends In Low Places * If Tomorrow Never Comes * Rodeo * Shameless * The Dance * The River * The Thunder Rolls * We Belong To Each Other * We Shall Be Free So many great songs. He wrote "We Shall Be Free" and took all kinds of flack over it. But it's got about the best message ever for the world. He's fantastic! He has a huge heart, always giving so much to various charities, his community and beyond. Just love him!!!! Please consider reacting to one of his live performance songs from the 1980s or 1990s because he was soooooo acrobatic and all over the stage. Incredible entertainer! Thank you for another great reaction.

I’m in the Spokane, WA area and Garth performed here for the first time just over 5 years ago. Well, they underestimated our love for him. He was set to put on 1 show but the tickets FLEW for that one so they decided to add another show but the same thing happened. He ended up selling out 7 shows and made us all sooo happy! I’ve never been to a better concert - ever. Garth has a way of making you feel like you’re at the best party of your life - well, you and a few thousand of his closest friends. 😅 If you ever get a chance to go to one, sell your soul for a ticket! You won’t regret it.

Garth is the Top Selling US Solo Artist OF ALL TIME!! He has 9 Diamond Albums, which means they sold over 10 million copies each! I've seen him in concert 8 times, but the best one was in Worcester, Ma. My husband and I were in 3rd row, right in front of center stage!!!!! The concert was INCREDIBLE! I have been such a huge fan of Garth since he first appeared in Nashville in 1989. I have a massive Garth tattoo with his signature on my left arm! There are a million and one reasons to LOVE Garth! He's an incredible human being! I hope you have seen the whole performance on DVD by now. It's how I got my husband, who used to hate country music, to love Garth! I HIGHLY recommend the A&E Documentary, Garth Brooks: The Road I'm On. You will learn EVERYTHING about him... and be in awe of him as a human being! So damn powerful! It's a 4-hour, 2-part documentary that's worth EVERY second!!!

Garth ruled the ’90s and early 2000’s his albums were all platinum, his concerts were all sold out and he was winning all the awards. He kinda opened the door to the big flashy country concerts. Huge productions. He pushed the envelope with some of his stuff. Couple weird (Chris Gaines) things. Then he retired. Went away for quite a bit. Resurfaced 5-10 years ago doing limited appearances and such.

Porter Wagoner used to have his own music/TV show. He was the one who gave Dolly Parton her start in music. When she decided to break up the duet and go on her own, her famous song I Will Always Love You, was written by her for Porter Wagoner. Garth Brooks was the reason I started listening to country music. I've seen him in concert 3 times back in the mid to late 90's. He broke the mold on what a country concert used to be. His concerts were extraordinary and amazing. He's also the only country singer, or singer period who had released 3 albums in a row where there wasn't a single song on them that I didn't absolutely love. Garth Brooks is one of the greatest music performers of all time.

Chris LeDoux was the 1976 PRCA World Champion Bareback Bronc Rider, as well as an acclaimed Grammy nominated singer- songwriter and bronze sculpter from Kaycee, Wyoming. He wrote and sang about the rodeo life. He recorded 36 albums, 22 of which he released independently from 1971 to 1990. He rodeoed professionally from 1969 till he retired in about 1984. Five years later, Garth Brooks released to country radio "Much Too Young ( To Feel This Damn Old)," his first single that was a top ten record. The song was about an aging bronc rider on the rodeo circuit trying to compete against the younger generation, who now has a broken heart because his woman left him. In that song, he mentions "a worn out tape of Chris LeDoux." That helped catapult LeDoux to national fame and land a record deal with Capitol Records. Chris and Garth would eventually meet and become great friends and record a few songs together, including the top ten duet "Whatcha Gonna Do With A Cowboy" in 1992. Throughout the 90's, Chris LeDoux recorded several successful albums, his most popular probably being Whatcha Gonna Do With A Cowboy. If you get a chance, take a listen to "This Cowboy's Hat," which is considered by many his signature song. You'll be hooked!

This was recorded at the end of his residency at The Wynn, between 2009 and 2014. He had already retired from music to help raise his girls and give his wife, Tricia Yearwood, and chance to continue her career. I saw this when it originally aired on TV and the whole show is an absolute triumph or storytelling and music. Garth is such a emotional, empathic, and charismatic person, his music and stories just drip with it.

I actually got to see this show, think it was near the start of its run. It was absolutely amazing. Up near the front, on the left.. only time I've been to Vegas and it was definitely an experience.

Garth sends his band off stage in the middle of his concerts and entertains the crowd with just him and his acoustic guitar. He his an entertainer to the extreme.

This was a great Show... I have it on DVD. Garth was famous for runnin' and jumpin' on stage... He was the first "Rock Star" in Country Music. 😀 Screaming and having fun... And in the next minute, you can see tears in his eyes, when the audience sings songs like "The river" or "The Dance" louder than he does. :) GREAT entertainer! And if you like "Ain't no sunshine", you should check out Geoff Castellucci's version of it! GREAT!!!

One of the amazing things about Garth is that he can make a 60k seat arena feel like the smallest little bar - he just pulls you in. Saw him in Denver in 92 even back then he just had that great good old boy charisma going.

Please go watch more of this show! It is an amazing Garth performance. Also go watch his old performances, he’s an absolute firecracker. I had the pleasure to go se him at the Houston rodeo in 2016, he was still performing at an elite level. Thank you for this reaction video, I thoroughly enjoyed it 😊 P.S. check your pronunciation of Merle Haggard’s name, I didn’t want to be that guy….sorry 😅

I went to a Garth concert in ‘96 by default, my friend had a ticket and her other friend bailed out. I didn’t know much of his music at the time. It was by far one of the best concert I’d ever been to! The never ending energy, the amazing talent and his incredible songs drew me right in! Have loved him every since. Great reaction Brit, I’m enjoying your channel very much! Thanks❤

Midnight Train to Georgia was written by QuaterBack from Ole Miss, Jim Wheatherly. The original title was Midnight Plane to Houston, which was inspired by a phone call from Farrah Faucet, while he was at the home of The Six Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors. Jim recorded the song as Midnight Plane to Houston and a Favorite of yours, Cissy Houston, recorded it changing plane to Train before Gladys Knight and the Pips recorded this Great Song.

Best live performer ever. I’ve seen live 3 times over different stages of his career. It’s always a high energy show that still never disappoints. He wants no one to leave disappointed. And for the last several years he does an improv part halfway while his band rests where he takes requests from the audience…of other people songs! Who does that?! And they plays them like he just truly loves music and his vast influences. Just WOW!

Garth Brooks is the BEST EVER!! He is the reason I picked up the guitar at 12yo... and became a guitarist/singer/song writer and all around entertainer! Been doing it for 30 years now! Actually grew up with the nick name Baby Garth! Even funnier... I use to live down the road from him when I was 12-14 years old in Oklahoma. Never got the chance to meet him.. but I did see him many times out in his back field with his horses. Anyways... Yes.. Garth Brooks is AMAZING!! Very funny too!!

Garth is my favorite artist of all-time. I've seen him 3 times, with a 4th (in Vegas, coincidentally, this time at Caesars) coming in December. Allow me to add some context here that'll show you just how wonderful and loving of a human being Garth is. Chris Ledoux was such an influence to Garth that he actually name dropped Ledoux on his very first single, Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old). When Ledoux was diagnosed with liver disease, Garth offered to donate part of his liver to Ledoux, but they ended up being incompatible. Garth asked Ledoux not to tell anybody, but Ledoux refused and told the media because he was so touched by it. That's the only reason we know about it. He also has a charity that he owns and operates called Teammates For Kids that supports local youth sports programs. The dude once busted down the door to a family's house to evacuate them when he was driving by and saw a wildfire headed towards their house. Never told his publicist. We only know because the family that he saved told the news that Garth Brooks broke down their front door and drove them to safety. Dude regularly gives away $1,500 acoustic guitars, and even once paid for the honeymoon of a couple who got engaged during one of his shows. People just don't come any sweeter than him.

I have seen Garth with the band maybe 5 times but also had the amazing privilege of seeing him at the Wynn. I think it held about 1500 people and was like seeing Garth in your backyard. True, not a lot of Garth songs but just him and his guitar playing the music that made him the great artist he is. Rodeo and The River were the only two Garth songs in that clip but there is much more to that show. Garth is on tour now but the Wynn thing is over. You can definitely catch him somewhere
